    Just voted for this.

I'll provide my use case, which is near the one Chris described previously.

Like Chris, I have a backlog of "podcasts to listen someday, when I'll have time".
Presently, my podcast playlist is about 800Mo, and yesterday, android started complaining I was running out of space. My top storage consuming app was podcast addict, with its 800Mo of pre-downloaded podcasts.

Obviously, having 800Mo of pre-downloaded podcasts is useless for me.

What I image is a quota for downloaded podcast (I don't think hardcoding a limit would be a good thing, every user should be able to define his own quota, and even not enable this quota feature).
New download should be able to start only if it doesn't exceed the quota.
Downloads ordering should be made depending on main playlist ordering (downloading first not-already-download podcast).
This means feature like "allow multiple playlists" (http://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/forums/211997-general/suggestions/4193283-allow-multiple-playlists) would go in the way of current feature.

    'was my 2 cents :-)

Just a heads up regarding the latest version of the app. It doesn’t provide cross device syncing yet, but it allows you to sign in to your Google Drive account and have all your data automatically backed up to make sure they are safe at all time. It also makes restoring the data on a new device really easy.
You can go into Settings/Backup to enable this and sign-in
    Thanks
