Just a heads up regarding the latest version of the app. It doesn’t provide cross device syncing yet, but it allows you to sign in to your Google Drive account and have all your data automatically backed up to make sure they are safe at all time. It also makes restoring the data on a new device really easy.
You can go into Settings/Backup to enable this and sign-in

Why is it necessary to have a computer based version? Why should one use a computer to hear podcasts? I have no idea for a use case like this.
If anybody wants to play podcasts on his hifi equipment it should be enough to buy a bluetooth audio aptX adapter, (about 10-30 $), connect it with the amplifier, and then stream from his tablet or smartphone. This is the most comfortable and cheapest solution ever. And this is exactly what I am doing right in this moment...;-)
