Just a heads up regarding the latest version of the app. It doesn’t provide cross device syncing yet, but it allows you to sign in to your Google Drive account and have all your data automatically backed up to make sure they are safe at all time. It also makes restoring the data on a new device really easy.
You can go into Settings/Backup to enable this and sign-in

Any updates on this? This seriously feels like a major oversight, considering how in-depth all the rest of Podcast Addict's customization settings are.
You can set custom settings; you can set categories; but you can't set custom settings to categories? As a result of that, categories are strictly for organization but have no real functional value. I think this app would really be kicked into high gear if I could automagically have podcasts in my News category always have just the latest episode downloaded, whereas my Fiction category podcasts always have the next 5 episodes ahead of my most recently played one downloaded.
