Android Auto Video Playback
Any plans on implementing this? Would be cool to watch in the car while on break or waiting for someone.

YT is a streaming platform. ToS forbids to download its content, therefore I cannot implement this.

Je suis désolé mais je ne comprends pas a quoi pourrait servir un tel bouton. Tu peux stopper le player en appuyant sur le bouton ‘X’ de la notification de lecture

Rescan disk
Rescan disk option, cleanup old files on SD card, recognizing missing files and re-queue download.
3 votesI’m sorry but I don’t understand the purpose if this feature. Download is handled by the app, so the app knows about files stored in its own folder. Please avoid deleting/adding files into the app folder, as those won’t be lined to your subscriptions

Playback is handled by the device built-in player, not by the app. Unless your device doesn’t support those encoding, the app should be able to play them. If not the only workaround will be to play those with a 3rd party like VLC which uses its own player engine

Show mark read/unread/in progress for youtube
When the app redirects you to youtube, it should have a popup box when you return to the PodCast Addict app to allow you to mark the youtube video as read, unread, in progress.
This will streamline watching youtube feeds.
3 votesUnfortunately this isn’t possible because there’s no way to know if you reopening the app after watching a YT content or because you just turned the screen back on or switch between apps. This would cause more arm than good.

Mark as played on main player.
Mark as played can be in the pull down menu or anywhere on the interface. Often podcasts have ads at the end so when done but not fully played it would be good to mark as played. The current button is in a weird location not where you play podcasts.
1 voteYou can already do that by long pressing on the player previous/next episode button. The app will delete/mark the current episode read before skipping to the previous/next one

Track listing and skip tracks
Track list and skip - a list of tracks within the podcast ie name of track and artist. Thus also giving you the ability to skip past tracks. this feature is available on itunes for majority of artists namely gareth emery podcast EFL and Armin van buuren ASOT podcast

Add a toggle for lockscreen seeker/progress bar
Love having the lockscreen widget to pause and play without having to unlock my phone. It sucks though when my phone unlocks in my pocket and my thigh moves the seeker on the progress bar somewhere random. The ability to toggle the interactivity of that bar would be very nice.
The skip buttons are toggleable so I think this only makes sense

3 votesThe notification progress bar cannot be used to change playback position as it’s in read only mode. Only the fast forward/rewind buttons can explain this. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do if those buttons are pressed while the device is in your pocket.

Add a previous episode button.. i listen to your app while connected to bluetooth in my car, but, can't listen to a previous episode.

3 votesThe app reacts to the remove command it receives. You can change the way the app will handle the back button. By default it rewinds but you can change this so the app move to the previous episode in the playlist (Settings/Player/Remote controls => skip forward/rewind controls)

Ce site est dédié aux demandes d’ajout de fonctionnalité de l’app. Lorsqu’un podcast est manquant tu peux ajouter son flux RSS dans l’app pour t’abonner ou utiliser l’option iTunes du moteur de recherche.

Bring back the ability to add locally stored mp3 files to the playlist
Previously I was able to download mp3 files to my phone then add them to the playlist when scanning the download folder. This is no longer possible, for some reason

Nothing has been removed from the app.
It just means that you disabled the playlist or the app internal player.
It can also be that the podcast owner didn’t provide a media file attached to the episode in which case you won’t see any play/add to playlist buttons -
Allow playlists besides the main one
I have different 'genres' of podcast: comedy, language learning, news... It's be great if I could make more than one playlist.

Mov files
When I try to watch movies friends send me, podcast addict always tries to open them when it can't, leaving me with an error message. It's annoying to uninstall podcast addict everyone I want to watch a MOV file.
1 voteAndroid will ask you to select the app to open your .mov file. If Podcast Addict is the only file supporting this format then it will be opened by default, otherwise you will have to chose in the Android popup. Make sure not to select ‘ALWAYS’ to confirm your choice, otherwise you will make Podcast Addict the default app for this kind of files. You can still clear this choice in the device Settings/Apps/Podcast Addict screen by pressing on ‘Clear default actions’

add a continuous playlist override for specific playlists
currently the continuous playlist is either enabled or disabled for all playlist. it would be nice to choose an overall behavior and add the option to override it for specific podcasts

If so this cannot be a podcast setting. It needs to be set globally -
Allow PodcastAddict to be installed on SD card
PodcastAddict can only be installed on the phone.
The storage folder can bee set to the SD card, but when I do this, Sonos cannot see the podcasts.
Allowing PodcastAddict to be moved to the SD card appears to be easy, as described here:

1 voteMoving the app on the SD card won’t change anything related to the Sonos app. Please follow the app FAQs in order to access your downloaded episodes from the Sonos app.
The app cannot be moved on the SD card because it will be broken on earlier android version (it will only work fine on Android 6)
You can still store downloaded files on the SD card. Feel free to send me an email if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

Allow storage location to be set by podcast
I listen to most of my podcasts on my phone, so I store them all on my sd card. However, a few I listen to on my Sonos and I have to manually move them to the main storage location to be playable. Can we override an individual podcast download location please?
1 voteThis won’t be possible. The storage folder will remain a global setting applied to every podcast.
