  1. Add Shortcut to DSP Manager

    In AOSP, or similar roms, a straight launch into DSP manager would be super convenient. This is not a critical need, but it would be awesome. Wouldn't have to hide the app, go to launcher, or anything else.

  2. exclude podcasts with certain text should just mark as read.

    Right now now I exclude podcasts with certain text from a feed, but sometimes I want to listen to them. I wish they would be marked just as read and kept in the list instead of disappearing.

  3. clean up/merge/simplfy settings

    I love that you keep adding new features, but sometimes this means the settings can become confusing.

    Under Automatic Cleanup you have Trash and Once Listened To. These could be combined into one settings, with options to Delete as soon as listened to, Keep 1 day, 1 week, Keep forever, etc.

  4. Get rid of the Holo glow gradient in the Black theme

    I just upgraded to Lollipop and I was surprised this dated OS effect still shows up in PA. Is there anyway you can just set the background to go solid black in the black theme?

  5. Add custom bluetooth metadata display mapping

    What podcast feeds publish for title, track, author etc varies from podcast to podcast and typically what data is parsed by a podcast app varies from player to player. This parsing affects what is displayed to the head unit.

    The idea is to add a section in per-podcast customization that would allow a user to pick how metadata gets mapped to their bluetooth car stereo system. It could work like the following.

    For a specific podcast, a user could select a "Bluetooth metadata customization" option. When they select this, it opens up to various fields that currently get parsed by…

  6. allow radio to embed third party lyric addon

    It would be nice to follow along lyrics as radio or even podcasts allow caption or lyrics to be played.

  7. intents (e.g. for Tasker) to jump/seek arbitrary number of seconds passed in an argument

    Please make it possible to call an intent with an argument of the desired number of seconds to jump backwards or forward.
    So let it be possible to jump ANY number of seconds.

  9. -Automatic sharing: Different Tweets (listened vs favoured)

    In automatic sharing there are two options:
    - Share episodes you listened to
    - Share episodes you favoured

    I think there should different tweets for them.
    E.g. I liked listening to: [...]

    Or make the tweets generally editable.

  12. Indicate how many files will be deleted on a manual deletion of played episodes from downloaded episodes list.

    I know it shows how many files WERE deleted, briefly, after the action is performed. I would find it more helpful if the confirmation dialogue indicated how many files were ABOUT to be deleted.

  13. Build ExoPlayer with FFmpeg extension for more audio formats support

    Since you start to use ExoPlayer as an alternative player engine, it could be useful for some old devices that do not support, for example, opus codec.

  14. Show time left to complete the download

    When I'm downloading a episode of a podcast, the time left to complete the download is not showed, this is very bad, cause I don't have how estimate how much time it will take.

  16. Switch to a Subscription Payment Model

    I don't expect this to be super-popular idea but:

    I wish that you would switch to a subscription payment model. I really like this app and I'd like for it to be around a long time and so it needs to be financially sustainable for you.

    I've purchased the one-time $3.99 app to remove ads, but I'd gladly pay $3.99 per year or more in order to keep the app around forever.

  17. Facilitate rotating screen 180 degrees (Android)

    While driving I attach my Galaxy S4 to a top of the dash mount. The S4 USB outlet is on the bottom so to accommodate the cord I attach it upside down which works fine with most apps but PA will not rotate 180. It would be handy if it would.

  18. Duration sort by range or threshold

    I sort my playlist by publication date (oldest firs) then by duration (shortest first). I could sort only by duration, but it would make some podcasts almost "unreachable" because new ones would pop before the long ones. It would be awesome to have a type of range or threshold sorting by duration. I mean, make all episodes below 30 minutes first, then every other between 31 minutes and one hour, then between 1h01min and 1h30min, and so on.. Or specify a threshold like 1h30min, sorting every episode below this coming first and above coming last, or the other way around.…

  19. custom default start page (ie. downloaded episodes, recent episodes)

    It would be great to be able to choose a custom start page instead of launching into the Podcasts page in the Settings.

    I know this is possible via a widget, but widgets aren't possible in folders which is where I put all my music/podcast apps.

    I literally go to the downloaded episodes page every single time I start the app and then browse from there, but I'm sure others would prefer to start on the recent episodes page.

    It's a small, minor change, but it is an annoyance in the ux every day and the one of the only…

  20. implement multi-sort options for Podcast display

    My playlist is sorted by priority, then by download date. The easiest way for me to interact with my Podcasts lists would be by priority, then by episodes remaining. As it stands I keep it on episodes remaining, but that results in podcasts I've just started, despite being higher priority, displaying mixed in with all the ones I haven't gotten around to yet.
