  1. Download By Sort Order

    Could you add an option under Automatic Download to download episodes by the sort order of that particular podcast, instead of just the newest episode (default), or the oldest (if that option is selected).
    This would help me a lot because I tend to sort different podcasts differently,for example news podcasts I sort by the newest publication date whereas chronological podcasts(such as history podcasts) I sort by oldest publication, and it would be helpful if they were downloaded that way automatically.

  2. Add a Podcast Network to the Browse Podcast Networks Section

    I am a member of the Fatecrafter Studio Network and I was requesting for us to be added to the Podcast Network Section. Xavier suggested posting here to let people vote on it.

  3. Using cloud folder for virtual podcasts

    Hi,
    I love podcast addict, but there's some audio files I want to listen like a podcast. Good for me, there's an option named "Virtual podcast" where I can use any file from a local folder like a podcast.
    But, it would be great if I can use a folder from the cloud (like Dropbox or Google Drive...) to store my files at first.

  4. allow user to open via Amazon Echo; "Alexa, please open Podcast Addict"

    Amazon Echo is becoming very popular. They allow some major players like pandora, etc. If you work with Amazon your amazing app will become even more popular.

  5. Integrate with Waze

    Waze has this new feature - an audio kit that allows 3rd party apps to play audio in the Waze app (see https://www.waze.com/audioplayer). Several large players (Spotify, Deezer) have already done this integration.

    As most of my listening is done on the road it would be a great improvement. I also saw that other users had issues with the current situation.

  6. online/cloud podcast subscription management

    I want to be able to manage my podcast subcriptions online with support to show listened too episodes. Support for multiple devices would be a huge bonus.

  8. MORE volume boost!

    I work in a very noisy environment and have to always use volume boost with my bluetooth headset. I know it could be even louder because when an alarm goes off the podcast gets even louder until I snooze or dismiss it. I would love an adjustable volume booster up to maybe 200% instead of the 20-30% it boost now.

  11. Using cloud.feedly.com as a back-end for podcast RSS feeds

    I was using google listen previously, refreshing through google reader (all podcast tagged with "Listen Subscription").

    I suggest to have a new alternative for Podcast Addict using feedly as a back-end to synchronize RSS feeds.

  12. per podcast volume adjustment

    A per-podcast volume adjustment would be handy. Some podcasts are very quite and require me to turn up the volume, others are very loud and require me to turn down the volume. It would be helpful (especially when listening at night when falling asleep) to have a more constant volume level between podcasts. Not asking for anything complicated like dynamic compression or normalization, just a manual slider on the custom podcast settings screen that is an adjustment to either the system volume or an adjustment to the digital levels (whichever is easier/better to implement).

  13. Release a Garmin App

    Most podcast apps are awful and make syncing podcast episodes, marking them as played and removing old ones either very difficult or impossible. You have nailed it on android.

    Now I need the same on my Garmin watch. There are currently only 3 podcast providers for my Garmin 645 Music watch and they are all unusable. This could be a great market to tap and would make your Garmin owning fans very happy.

  14. Always open on the view that was used last.

    It frustrates me that the app always opens on the podcast view. If I was on the player view I want it to open on the player view next time.

  17. Allow offline playback on WearOS watches/devices

    Please make a WearOS app that allows me to pick which podcast episodes I want to download directly to the watch, so I can listen to the episodes without my phone connected (no internet connection).

  18. Allow merging of audio and video playlists

    I would like the option to see audio and video podcasts on the same playlist rather than two separate lists. Once I am using one, it tends to get more attention until I remember to switch to the other.

  19. option to set maximum amt. Of storage for downloaded podcasts

    Allow the user to specify how much storage to use for downloaded podcasts. When automatically downloading new podcasts and the storage is exceeded, podcasts would be removed according to the autoclean settings.

    The end goal is to allow as many podcasts to be stored as storage will allow, without exhausting all storage, and without having to choose arbitrary limits on age or number of episodes.

  20. Add a search box to main playlist

    Sometimes I have hundreds of episodes in my main playlist, and I want to delete some of them, selecting all episodes that contain a certain word.

    Next version will allow you to search episodes in the playlist.

    You will need to use the playlist Option menu tab and select "Find Episode", then you can enter some keywords and press on '<' or '>' to scroll up / down the playlist to the previous / next occurrence.


    A first beta should be soon available.

    Please join the Beta on the Play Store app page and feel free to provide some feedback about this feature (Settings/Feedback)
