Archive mode: Separate download setting from cleanup
Currently, "Automatic Cleanup/Keep at most" episodes are downloaded in archive mode. This is a decent default, but I suggest an additional setting: A separate limit ("Archive limit"?), which specifies up to how many episodes are automatically downloaded.
Why? Because this allows the user to download more files on demand without them being deleted. I don't really want to keep at most 1 episode, but have it automatically download episodes such that at least 1 (or another specified number) is always downloaded.

Show podcast episode description while viewing video
There's a big black area underneath the video while viewing the video podcast. This space could be used for e.g. podcast/episode description, which often contains a timeline of the episode.
It would be great if I could read the episode description while I'm watching the episode, and there seems to be some free space for it.3 votes -
List Bookmarks by Title
Instead of seeing every episode with a bookmark and forcing us to open the episode to see the bookmark(s), we need to see every bookmark created along with an ability to filter the list to one of more podcasts. Then selecting a bookmark should open the appropriate podcast/episode.

Add a setting for skipping played Playlist entries
Note; distinct from the current "skip played entries" option in the Playlist menu, that just avoids adding played entries to the Playlist when queuing.
I am a heavy user of the Playlist and priority sorting options. I have old podcasts I'm slowly working through from the beginning, new podcasts I am constantly waiting for new episodes for and even audio books all mixed in a smart Playlist that alternates podcast from oldest episode to newest.

Standalone playlist not integrated with subscriptions
It would be wonderful if we could have a standalone playlist. One that would not have podcasts integrated into our subscriptions. A playlist basically for bookmarking podcasts that we could choose to listen to at a later date like an online shopping cart or wishlist.

Allow scrolling to current episode in the episode list
Would be really useful to be able to scroll to the currently playing episode of a podcast in the podcast's list of episodes. For example, I'll be listening to an episode from 11/2021 of an ongoing podcast that has almost 700 episodes, and I'll want to queue up another episode around the same date and will have to scroll down a bunch to do so. It's really useful to be able to scroll to the current episode in the playlist, so this would just be a similar long-press action in the episode list.

Sleep Timer icon activation indicator
Sleep timer activation symbol is currently displayed as a diagonal line cutting through the "clock."
I may be wrong about this but a line cutting through a symbol is normally associated with negation, deselection, turning off a function.
To indicate the "clock" for the sleep timer has been activated, I would suggest an easier to interpret visual such as a line underneath the clock.
My natural reaction to seeing a line cutting through the displayed icon clock is that it has been deselected.
It would be interesting to learn how other users interpret the "diagonal line" as associated with "on"…3 votes -

Enable a history/memory when playing on shuffle
I listen to a number of podcasts with episode numbers in the hundreds. Quite often I like to have these play randomly so will skip through recently played episodes or those I'm bored with. Occasionally I'll skip forward without thinking then realise I wanted the previous episode to play, or I'll want to hear a podcast again after it's moved to the next ep.
It would be handy to be able to skip back an episode or two when playing on a random order in case you accidently skipped it or wanted to listen again when the next ep starts.

Don't remove time of unsubscribed podcasts from playback statistics
Currently, the time listened to episodes are removed when I unsubscribe from their podcast. This leads to me never unsubscribing from unwanted podcasts. Instead, I resort to disabling the 'keep updated', but those podcasts still show up in my Podcasts page.

Calculate the ETA of each individual download in the queue and a sum total of all downloads to estimate when all downloads will be complete.

Delete oldest episodes in order to keep 2GB of space free on the device
I don't want to have to specify a number of days or episodes to keep. Instead, I want to keep as many episodes as possible while keeping a specific amount of storage space free on the device.
So I want Podcast Addict to continuously download new episodes and not delete old episodes until less than 2 GB of space is left on the device. If less than 2GB of space is remaining, then delete as many old episodes as necessary to make at least 2GB of space free.

be able to show list of completed/finished items
in the downloaded episodes you can hide "unread" items; it would be nice if you could switch between "all", "unread only", "finished only" and "partially only".
this could replace the "reading in progress" list.
I ask because I don't have automatic deletion on completion set up, so I have to go into the downloaded list and then find all the finished ones and delete them if I don't want to keep them.

The FAQ article 'No more SD card Storage since Android KitKat' fails to mention that when one changes the designated storage folder they no longer have access to podcasts downloaded to the old storage folder.
With a file manager app one can move the old files. But then they still have to go through the motions of downloading those files again for podcastaddict to recognize the moved files. [The re-download operation is quicker than an actual full download.]2 votes -

add tenth of a second to offset episodes
I love the fact that I can automatically skip intros ann commercials in the custom setting. However, some episodes require a more specific time frame (tenth of a seconds) to be accurate when skipping the intros. So my suggestions is to be able to customize episodes by tenth of a second: 5.5, 7.2 etc.

Optionally unclutter player view
I never use the clock icon (no idea what that does), the star, the shuffle or loop function. I would like to have an option to hide these.
