While downloading, the episode appears (in grey) in the playlist so we can place it where we want
I usually download manually episode I want to listen first while I already have many episode in my playlist.
I set the new downloads to be added automatically in the playlist and they appear at the end.But it would be very nice if a "downloading" or a "to be downloaded" episode could appears in the playlist in grey, so we can already place it where we want in the playlist (when I manually download an episode it is because I want to listen it immediately of after an ending one).
Besides, those "ghost" episodes order in the playlist can…
5 votesYou can enable Settings/Download/Play downloading episodes to do this. So if you set the app to automatically add downloaded episodes to the playlist you will see the episode in the playlist as soon as the download starts. Feel free to contact me if I misunderstood what you were asking (Settings/Feedback)

add refresh end time option
There already exists an option to start the refresh at a certain time, but why not an end time so the app is not constantly refreshing when we don't need it to.
4 votesThe app start refreshing at the specified time using the frequency set up. So if you set up a refresh every 12 jours starting at 5:00am it will only refresh twice a day (5:00am and 5:00pm). The app won’t be refreshing all the time so I don’t see the purpose of this ‘refresh end time’ option

hide downloaded podcasts
add option to hide downloaded podcasts in other music applications (like google music). the placement of a .nomedia in d/l dir didntt worked
4 votesThe app storage folder contains a .nomedia file which tells the device to not index the content of this folder.
There's unfortunately nothing I can do if an app ignores this basic android feature

Playlists will sometimes skip to next without touching the phone
Need a fix. Using Samsung GS3, listening to my podcasts either in the car or at the gym. In either case the phone is asleep with the podcast running in the background. Every now and then, in the middle of the podcast I'm listening to, it just skips to the next one in the playlist. I have no idea why. A fix would be MUCH appreciated.

check mark for podcast that is already subscribed.
In the subscribe to new podcast area/tab/thingamabob, have a little check mark for already subscribed podcasts.
This will make it easier to identify podcasts that are already subscribed and when subscribing to more than one (like if you are setting your device back up from a reload) it will be easier to identify if you have already subscribed to a certain podcast.
4 votesAlready subscribed podcast are selected in blue and the row is disabled so there’s already in way to miss them.
But it will only work if you subscribed to the exact same RSS feed url -
player often jumps back to near the beginning of a podcast when resumed after a long pause/next day.
Fix that

Use th Contact support button instead.
What you describe is a known issue on devices using MT65xx and ARM7 CPU. Because of a CPU bug resuming playback will fail with every android apps.
Please try using the specific workaround in Settings/Player. It seems to work for some users -
long-press menu item "enqueue downloaded"
I've lots of podcasts that will be downloaded and enqueud automatically. But I've podcasts where I download podcast episodes manually on a selective basis.
A menu item for podcasts "enqueue downloaded [and unread]" next to "enqueue unread" would be very helpful.
Alternative/Additional suggestion: the possibility to "download and enqueue" an episode.
4 votesI’m closing this suggestion because it looks like you can already do that using some Playlist settings.
Feel free to let me know if it doesn’t work the way you wnt so I can reopen this suggestionThanks

allow podcasts to at least resume playing when a game launches or similar app
At the moment when listening to a podcast if I launch plants vs zombies the podcast doesn't just pause it stops completely and won't allow both to run at the same time
4 votesAndroid has different audio channels. Podcast Addict uses the STREAM_MUSIC channel. Only one app can play on a specific channel at a time. So if this other app uses the same channel to play some sound, then Podcast Addict won’t be able to play and will stop. This is the normal behavior

Have playlist time worked out using the listen speed
Currently when listening to my podcasts at 2.5 speed still tell me normal speed time for playlist time
Possibly use currently running podcast with by option
Possible problem could be using different speeds for different podcasts
Many thanks4 votesThis is already implemented (I don’t remember when it has been added but it was a while ago)

Utilise adopted sd card with android 6 marshmallow
New storage capability should allow app and data to all reside on an adopted SD card freeing up internal storage. In any event I can't even get my data on the adopted card
4 votesYou can store you’r downloaded episodes on the SD card by selecting SD card in Settings/Download/Storage folder.
Moving the whole app on the SD card isn’t a good idea because the performance of the app database will then be really low and the SD card tends to get often corrupted compared to the device internal memory -
When Sorting by Download Date, Do Not show episodes that have been deleted
Because of Marshmallow SD Card restriction, I have to manually copy / delete podcasts via a file manager app (fx).
Unfortunately, podcast addict still thinks the files are downloaded and shows them when I set 'Downloaded' (instead of Latest Episodes) and Sorted by download date.
4 votesWhat do you mean by “Marshmallow SD Card restriction”?
I’m not aware of any new restrictions.
Please send me an email with more detail (Settings/Feedback)

Delete/hide episodes longer/shorter than
My favorite feed is filled with short highlights from the longer episodes that also are in the same feed. So I have to manually delete them every time I update the feed. There could be a rule that automatically delete episodes shorter than x minutes after the feed has been updated.
4 votesYou can already do this if the podcast RSS feed contains the duration information. To do so, long press on the podcast, select ‘Custom settings’, then Filter and select the duration criteria for the episodes. This criteria will then be applied to future episodes of the podcast

Add a 30 seconds back/forward buttons
I listen at work and routinely get interrupted. If I forget to press pause, I can't move back just a little to hear what I missed.
4 votesYou can already do this by pressing on the player << / >> buttons. Playback will then skip -15s / +30s

add Twitter feed functionality
I use PA for podcasts, audiobooks, youtube and rss feeds. Twitter is the only thing I am missing. Maybe the embed function from twitter could be used? Anyways, PA is my entertainment swiss army knife!
4 votesI'm closing this as you founfd a solution for this through a 3rd party service. Thanks for the information btw!

Auto-download when playing.
Add an option to start downloading an episode as soon as you start playing it. Then play from the downloaded file, and delete the file upon completion of the episode.
4 votesYou can enable playback of episodes while they are downloading.
In that case you can start downlaoding an episode and then press play. The app will play the content already downloaded instead of streaming. Then depending on your automatic cleanup settings, the episode will be deleted automatically once playback is done
