Show date last played in podcast history view
When an episode is added to the podcast history view, show the date it was last played. This would make the podcast history useful as a listening log.
Some podcasts count as continuing education credit for maintaining professional certifications. This information would be useful as evidence when claiming those credits. Currently, I have to manually track dates listened of certain episodes outside of the app.

Category Playlist
It would be amazing if we could set up a playlist of categories. So, for example, if I had 4 categories of podcasts, news, sports, tech, and entertainment, it would play the first podcast episode from each category, then rotate back up to the top of the list. This way, you never get two of the same show, or even two of the same type of show, in a row, with zero playlist management.

This new version finally adds support to multiple playlists.In order to use this new feature, you can go into the Playlists screen and select the new ‘Custom’ tab.
Then you can select the category of your choice and listen to it.
Those default categories are provided by the podcast owner in their RSS feeds, but you can press on the toolbar ‘Category’ button and add/delete/customize them.
That way you can create playlists like News, Commute, Workout, Audiobooks, SFW, …
Each playlist can have its own sorting mode.Please let me know what you think about this new feature

List and search bookmarks
Currently you can only access the bookmarks inside its chapter. So I have to remember what chapter was bookmarked.

Sleep Timer Widget
Could you add a new home screen widget that turns on the sleep timer with one tap? Exactly the same as the "update" widget, or the "play" widget, but it would set the sleep timer to the last used timer length.

category filter in downloaded episodes
It will be great if we could filter by category in the downloaded episodes space.

Create Custom Lists
I often use podcasts for research into specific topics so being able to create custom lists and manually add podcasts to it would be great. The podcast search feature is great but to have additional manual control would be great too.

Add volume boost to video podcast
Please consider adding volume boost to video podcasts and also increasing the boosting level available for audio podcasts. This is really important due to bother the varying published audio levels of the casts as well as the varying playback devices, both local and Bluetooth that we use for listening.

When adding local audiobooks, treat each subfolder as a different book (podcast)
Allow adding a top level folder and treat each subfolder as a different AudioBook. Perhaps treat spillover files not in a subfolder as a 'misc' podcast

Add ability to discover podcasts by sub-categories
It would be great to be able to see sub-categories on the Discover page.
For example, I would like to see trending, new, and top for 'Places & Travel' rather than just 'Society & Culture'. I don't think iTunes even has this feature so it would be great to have in Podcast Addict.

Allocate more space for episode titles in List View
In List View, episode titles are often truncated- probably more than half of them on the podcasts I listen to. Moving the publishing date and overflow button down to the next line could make the (otherwise gorgeous) List View a lot cleaner looking. Another way to handle this would be to provide a settings option to not display episode descriptions, making more room for the titles.
Keep up the good work! I tried everything on Android and Podcast Addict is the perfect podcast app.

One touch variable speed on/off
I'd like to be able to turn variable speed on and off with one touch. The high-speed selection would be whatever high speed was last used. This would be really handy for getting through commercials quickly, especially in the car.

Be able to change the sleep timer fade-out
I would really like to be able to change how long the fade-out lasts. Now, it's 15 seconds long, and I would prefer something like 2. If I'm still awake and want to listen for another 10 minutes, I feel like I am missing those 15 seconds because they are so quiet. And if I'm already asleep, I won't notice a 2 second fade as being abrupt and waking me up.
So please add this to the settings, this app is so close to being perfect!34 votesCompleted

Display "lyrics" or transcript
For people who listen to audiobooks, it would be fantastic to show either the embedded mp3 "lyrics" or from the associated text file. They usually contain the audio transcription of the podcast, which is very useful.
Also, some podcasts like http://drruscio.com/allison-siebecker-interview-sibo-episode-30/ or http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/allinthemind/the-mysterious-corpus-callosum/7377346, they have the transcript in their episode page. If PA can either fetch it or let us add the lyrics manually to be played automatically, it would make life much nicer :-)
142 votesPodcast Addict now supports the new RSS transcript tags. Very few podcasts support this for now, but as soon as they provide the transcript in their feed you will have it in the app. If they provide a synchronized transcript it will be displayed as caption on the player screen

Add Twitter Handle for podcasts in auto tweets
I'd like to be able to add a twitter handle in the per podcast settings for the auto tweet feature to have the completed tweet tag the podcast's account.

Automatic priority learning.
I would like to see some automatic learning with the priority settings.
Idea for to set up...
All podcasts get set to 0 score.
If I choose to push a podcast episode to the top of the queue or choose to start playing a podcast out of order it gets +1. If I listen to an episode in full then it gets +0.5
If I delete a podcast episode without listening or skip a large amount to the end, then -1.Then separate them into bins to set their priority.

This is a relyy good idea.
I will add a setting in the Priority screen that allows this automatic learning behavior.It will not work exactly how you described it but will have different actions impacting the scrore.
