  1. Allow a high priority podcast to take over what is "Now Playing".

    I listen to a short daily news podcast each morning. I'd like to see a feature where when a new episode of that podcast is published, not only will it move to the top of the playlist, but when i press "Play" in the widget or on a Bluetooth device or whatever, that podcast brings playing, and any in progress podcast is paused and will be resumed after the high priority podcast finishes.

  2. Add episode flag 'ignored'

    I suggest you add an episode flag 'ignored', which you can use to mark episodes you aren't interested in. These don't show up in the unheard episodes count, but you distinguish them from the ones you have heard. This is especially useful for factual podcasts with one theme per episode or interview podcasts, where you are only interested in certain episodes.

  4. Favourites as a feed. First ever, play anywhere, curated playlist.

    Export favorites as RSS. Then I can synchronously upload it to replace my existing favorites station as a feed that others can subscribe to. If you let me add tags (one could be a rating, another tag bookmarking the position for resuming on any PA) then you would have the first open format curated playlist creator - which of course would be automatically noted in the Feed comments. NPR, google play, sonos etc have walled curated playlists. Yours could be the first that plays everywhere.
    And why not export the playlist itself with bookmarks for resuming anywhere. This is what…

  5. Add comment when favorite-ing an episode

    Many times when I star an episode, it's because of something at a specific time in the episode. Being able to write even a few words about what's special about the episode I just starred would help me when going through them at a later time.

  6. Import radio stations from opml file

    As the opml file import does with the podcasts, it would be great a way to import radio stations from an opml file as well.

  8. Compact List mode

    Add a additional compact list option to display a more compact list of episodes without podcast thumbnail or description to save some space and have more episodes displayed at a time.
    I can only see 4 episodes at a time on a 5" screen, it could be extended to 10 easily.
    I notices the same request from 2 years ago were you answered we should use the list mode. That is more compact version of the list mode that is required here.

  9. Bookmarks for video

    Audio bookmarks feature is awesome but please make it also available for video files!
    BTW, I switched from Pocket casts to PA and donated just for this feature!

  10. Long press volume keys for additional actions

    Long press volume keys (on phone or remote) for additional actions like skip chapter or skip episode.
    I've only seen this sort of option on third party ROM's, so I'm guessing this would require root access. Would still be a great feature for those with root access though.

  12. sort by most recent bookmarked podcast episodes

    I would like there to be a tab for "bookmarked episodes," similar to the "recent episodes," or "downloaded episodes" tabs. Ideally there would also be an analogous widget that can be placed on the android desktop.

    I'd like to be able to review the various podcast episodes that I have seen fit to annotate with bookmarks, because as of right now, I have to open each subscription and scroll through to see if there are any bookmarked episodes.

  13. Add an option to hide podcasts you've decided you don't like

    After listening to a podcast and deciding it's not for you, you could hide it so it doesn't show up in podcast suggestions.

    Every time I refresh, it's clogged with podcasts I've already discarded and there's no place for new content.

  14. Add export or sharing of playback history.

    One of my professional credentials requires that I track and submit hours of ongoing education time. They accept listening to podcasts so your listening history feature is a very promising start.
    Now I need an easy way to get that history out of podcast addict and into other formats.
    Something similar to your current backup sharing feature should work.
    Eg.
    - I select Backup Listening History
    - PA collects history info and saves to storage, maybe in CSV format with podcast name, episode, duration, original episode link,...
    - PA offers to let me Share the file
    - I email the…

    All episode in the list look same gray, with only little icons describing status, thats bad. You could show individual status with a bigger marker, like block color, to make view more dinamic

  18. Start a live stream automatically if the playlist of downloaded podcast is empty

    I hear podcasts during sport and therefore it would be nice to have an option allowing me to set a live stream which starts to play automatically if the playlist is empty. Then I don't have to pause sport to start the live stream of my favorite online radio.

    Is it possible to customize the top bar and nav bar to different colours like Reddit Sync or Flamingo does? Also a white mode option would be nice as well.

  20. Add a sort episodes by popularity function

    When I want to determine whether or not I like a new podcast, I'd like to listen to the most popular episodes first, as they are usually the best. After selecting a podcast, I'd like to be able to click "sort by popularity". You should be able to get the data from iTunes' engine.
