  1. Priority queueing based on queue score

    Priority queueing based on queue score

    I suggest an interesting variant of priority queuing,
    based on both the priority and age simulataneously,
    similar to one used in some P2P software with request queue management.

    Podcast channels would be assigned priorities as until now.

    But the queue position would NOT be like
    sorted by priority, than by release_age.

    It would be sorted by queuescore = prioritymultiplier * releaseage
    where priority    multiplier = 2^(priority -1)

    So 8(exactly) days old episode with priority 1 would have the same queue score and as
    4(exactly) days old episode with priority 2, or…

    Hey, I implemented a similar feature in the latest Beta of the app as a test.
    Can you please join the Beta on the app Play Store page and then download the latest update
    Then please go into Settings/Playlist and enable ‘Smart priority sorting’
    Please let me know how this works for you so I can know if this makes sense to have this in the next version of the app

    FYI this takes into account priority and episode release date

  3. Adjust priority based on last played episode from that feed

    I would like to see an option to avoid playing new episodes of the same podcast all in a row, even if there are no equal or higher rated podcasts available. The simplest version would be something like "don't play until X other podcasts have played". A more flexible version would be something like "When playing an episode, temporarily reduce the priority of remaining episodes from that feed by X, increase by Y when any other podcast is played until back at original priority" . Related would be "count Z hours as 1 played podcast"...so if I listen to Favorite…

  5. Statistics export as text

    I think it would be great for the statistics to be exported as text and not as a JPEG. They could be used in a program, then.

  6. -/+ Buttons for Fast Forward/Backward

    I think it is a good idea to put -/+ (minus/plus) buttons for fast forward/backward in the player control setting section with one second stepping.

  7. Filter subscribed/non-subscribed

    In the 'Podcasts' page, it would be great to have a filter to show only podcasts I'm subscribed to, or only podcasts I'm not subscribed to but have downloaded episodes from.

  8. Folders to sort videos from audio

    High! First, thanks for the amazing app!

    What i feel is lacking is the option to create folders at home screen so we can sort by theme or type - video or audio.

    Another sugestion would be go change the default home screen. In my case i most hear downloaded episodes, it would be nice to be already in this screen when i open the app...or if someone likes radios they could be prompt directly to this screen upon opening the app.

  10. Add automatic cleanup option of 12 hours

    For daily news type podcasts, being able to delete them at 12 hours (0.5 days) makes sure listeners won't have to listen to yesterday's news.

  13. Indicate in the feed that an episode is in the trash

    In the area with the icons on an episode (playing, downloading, downloaded, etc) include a tagged icon.

    Also have the ability to play the downloaded episode even if trashed, or to restore from the trash in place of the "play"/"download" button.

    And/Or have the ability to remove from trash in the episode menu.

    Edge case: sometimes an episode downloads corrupted and would still need to force download if the episode is trashed.

  15. Show at-a-glance download progress using status bar indicators

    Currently (v3.25.2), when downloading an episode, only the Android download indicator (downward moving arrow) is shown in the status bar. This indicates that a download is in progress or waiting for an appropriate connection but gives no indication of download progress, if any.

    Those of us on slow connections and/or downloading large episodes need to pull down the notification shade multiple times over the course of a download to check the progress, which is more inconvenient with large phones. For some podcasts, an episode can take half an hour or more to download over a slow connection. This adds to…

  17. Move notification player control buttons to left

    I like the player controls on the notification bar on the lock screen. However, I find the buttons hard to reach when using the phone one handed while walking the dog, driving, exercising. It would be a lot easier if the buttons were on the left side and the podcast picture on the right.

    I'm sure there are people who use their phones one-handed with their right hand. Perhaps this can be configurable.

    Also, the buttons are a bit small and tightly packed, which makes it a bit hard to press the rewind button rather than play/pause.

  18. doubleclick Powerbutton pause unpause playing

    By shorten doubleclick the Powerbutton the player stops/pause playing podcasts and vise versa starts playing when paused.

    Very helpfull to quickly pause/play without "using" the phone.

    I knew thart feature from the App Podtrapper which was mainly developed for BlackBerry but also had an version for Android. But I like youre App more ;-)

  19. Make 'Hide Read Episodes' option operate only on selected podcast and not globally.

    There are some podcasts that I want to delete to save space and clean up the download display, but want to keep visible in the main podcast section in case I want to download and listen to them again at some future time.

    Others I would like to hide read episodes.

    Would it be possible to make the 'Hide Read Episodes' option operate only on the selected podcast channel and not globally so we have this option?

  20. Hide Podcasts were last Episode is more than X months

    In "Browse podcast networks", there is a lot of Podcasts not actualized for months.
    So it will be interresting to have an option to hide those Podcasts.

    Example of filter :

    Hide Podcasts with no new Episodes from : X months
