  1. Download sorting

    Currently, when podcasts get added to the download queue, they are added as soon as the podcast is updated. There is no way to automatically sort the download. It would be cool if we could sort download queue based on file size, duration, publication date, or especially podcast priority. This would put the less important podcast episodes as last to be downloaded.

  2. Announce the name of the episode

    I would like to have a voice that announce the next episode, with the name and maybe the name of the podcast

    It may comes in handy also to have the chance to set a sound between episodes, since one finishes and then a new one starts over, for some podcast it is not so easy to understand the change of episode

  3. List the duration of the episodes currently listed in a podcast series

    I'd like to know how much time I have left on a given podcast series. Some I keep up to date on and use the playlist, and some are not time sensitive, so I'm starting at the beginning and have many, many episodes to go. For me, I'll use it to know the total duration of the unread episodes for a given podcast series, but I guess you could just calculate it for what ever the current display setting is (hide/unhide read, etc.). Currently I have to clear the playlist, add a single podcast series's episodes, and use that functionality…

  5. Sort playlist by bitrate

    Besides simply listening to the highest/lowest audio quality first, listening to high bitrate with "automatically delete read episodes" will clear up the most device storage space per second of listening.

    A double tap screen implemented in the same way the shake device works would add a more convinient way since it's easier in some situations like the phone sitting on the table.

    Today I was asked for podcast recommendations and I thought it would be great if one could share the entire podcast list with the world.

    Please consider implementing a feature where podcast addict would create a website with a list of epidodes in the app. It could look like the app to give users without the app the feel for it. Podcasts would be clickable and the link would send the user to podcast's website. An extra would be to also have a subpage for episodes with link to specific episodes.

    The link could have shelf life and disappear after…

  9. Clean up / Limit Playback History

    I really like the Playback History, but mine grew to more than 5.000 entries so far (since October). It would be nice to have a possibility to clean it up ("delete entries older than X days") or to configure a limit ("store only Y entries"), comparable to the browse history in firefox or chrome.

  10. When an episodes ends in a playlist

    I would like to have the option to play a beep or a sound, or even more appreciated to have the option to have a voice that speaks the title of the podcast and of the episode

    Sometimes I realised to be listening to an episodes without knowing it moved to next one after finishing the previous

  11. Downloaded Episodes swipe

    The widget to open the app into downloaded episodes menu is great. But in navigating the app a swipe from the right, up, or down to get to the dowloaded episodes menu from any screen (such as swipe from left to bring up sliding menu) would be very convenient. Obviously swipe from right would disable some existing features, but up or down may be viable options. I autodownload episodes and i want immediate access to them from anywhere at anytime as what im here to do is listen to content first and foremost. Thanks for the good work.

    New beta now works differently. When you select a folder containing sub folders, the app asks you if you want to create a single podcast or as many podcasts as there are subfolders.
    If you select the later, adding a new subfolder in your device memory later will not automatically create a new virtual podcast in the app

  13. Audio offset feature (bluetooth sync fix)

    Can you please implement a manual audio sync option whem using bluetooth to watch/listen to video podcasts? It would be great to have plus/minus buttons to fix the audio/video sync and have the app save that adjustment when connecting to the same bluetooth headphones in the future so you don't have to re-adjust the sync number every time you re-connect.

  16. Playlist end completion notification

    It seems to be useful to optionally raise a notification on playlist completion when there's nothing more to play. Automation software such as Tasker could catch it and start playing something else - Play Music, Apple music etc.

    Really simple idea; just enable drag and drop folders like those for apps but for podcasts on the home screen.

  19. Add custom bluetooth metadata display mapping

    What podcast feeds publish for title, track, author etc varies from podcast to podcast and typically what data is parsed by a podcast app varies from player to player. This parsing affects what is displayed to the head unit.

    The idea is to add a section in per-podcast customization that would allow a user to pick how metadata gets mapped to their bluetooth car stereo system. It could work like the following.

    For a specific podcast, a user could select a "Bluetooth metadata customization" option. When they select this, it opens up to various fields that currently get parsed by…

  20. Individual Overrides per podcast

    It would be useful to be able to for example override the Download Limit, or New/Older First, without affecting other settings, such as Automatic Download.

    This way, if certain global defaults are changed after per podcast overrides, those defaults will propagate to all podcasts that don't have an explicit override set for that option. As it is, overrides only seem available categorically (eg all Download settings).
