I listen to some podcasts with a higher speed. It is very boring to have the music part of it with the non regular speed.

add parental/ admin controls
I would like to be able to limit the podcasts my Child can select and listen to on their tablets. If you can add simple password entry screen which limits access to the podcast selection screens that would be great. (I want them to be able to listen to specific podcasts for their education on these devices, and that's it.)

Compact List display to have more episodes displayed at a time
Add a compact list option to display a list of episodes without podcast thumbnail and description to save some space and have more episodes displayed at a time.

add integrated YouTube playback
...with support for background playback, so that I can listen to YouTube videos with the screen off. I see this was declined previously on the grounds that the YouTube app supported background playback, however this no longer seems to be the case unfortunately.

Add Swipe Right and Swipe Left on playlist screen.
If I swipe right on an episode on the playlist screen it should move to next played episodes, swipe left should move the episode to the bottom of the playlist.

Evenly space downloaded episodes throughout playlist
I'm one that regularly keeps 100+ (okay, 300+) episodes in my playlist. When I come across a new podcast I want to add to my routine, and I don't want to wait weeks or have them all grouped together, I currently have to drag the 10-20 episodes I've downloaded individually to evenly space them throughout my playlist, counting every 20 or 50 or whatever. This can be very time consuming, and annoying when my finger slips and I have to start over.
I'd love the ability to select multiple episodes in the playlist, then have a "distribute throughout playlist" option…

Playlist - place where added to playlist, customisable per podcast
Sorry there are 19 pages of 'playlist' related posts, so i didn't check them all.
I see there is an option to choose where an episode gets added to the playlist, but this applies to all podcasts. I'd like to be about to make some add to the top and some to the bottom.

Creating groups in playlist
The idea is to be able to "link" selected episodes in a group in the playlist screen.
When you rearrange part of or all your playlist, these episodes stay in a block without losing their reorder. You can also move them together.
It would benefit episodical podcasts especially.Additional idea : have the possibility to collapse this group to have a less cluttery playlist.

if a podcast supports seasons, show that on the podcast page
Some podcasts (especially audio dramas) have seasons to their content. Many of them use the iTunes markup in their rss feed to designate which season and episode from that season it is.

It would be awesome to have "folders" that could be expanded or collapsed accordion style for each season of that podcast.

Pouvoir créer des playlist de lecture d'épisodes sélectionnés en provenance d'un (ou plusieurs) podcast (alimentés en auto ou manuellement). Le but est de créer des listes de lecture et de pouvoir reprendre la lecture plus tard.
Par exemple :
- une playlist écoutée en voiture en famille dans laquelle j'ajoute des épisodes de podcats que je veux écouter dans ce cadre
- une playllst me pemettant de sélectionner les différents épisodes d'un même podcast qui fonctionnent en histoire continue à suivre ( le Feuilleton France Culture par exemple)

Do autoupdate only when "sync" is on
Do autoupdate and autodownload only when phone system setting "sync" (aka "backround data" or "data sync" - not "mobile data") is on.
By default I have sync turned off - it prevents battery drains from some apps that try do do some background syncing even when there is no data connection and it saves bandwidth if I have to use a poor data connection for some simple explicit task (e.g. find a public transport). Add a new Manual Sort option, separate from Priority Sort
Allow the user to select a sorting option that gives them the option to rearrange the podcasts on the main screen of the app via Drag and Drop, activated by a longpress. This sorting option should be separated from the assignment of priority.

Keep the Download Queue until there is room to download
With the new Archive mode (which is great) I have the new problem of missed downloads. If my storage is full downloads will cancel and remove themselves from the Dowload Queue. Keep the download Queue untill there is enough storage to download the next podcast episode. This way you keep the automatic downloads working and if you don't use automatic download you can queue up episodes in a specific order and the downloading will resume when there is more storage space available.
This can be combined with limiting the amount of storage space used for podcasts.

Sleep-timer reset by headset buttons
This is a different approach to solve the problem descibed in the feature request "6621628-timer-menu-stay-or-not-in-timer-mode-switch-on"
I would love to see a small addition to the existing feature "sleep-timer / when
timer is about to expire / shake to reset". For me it would be very handy, when
the timer-reset could be initiated by changing the volume by headset buttons
(e.g. buttons on a default wired Samsung headset).
This is because most of the time I use the sleep-timer, I don't want to grab the phone and shake it.22 votes -
Include a setting to automatically have the bookmark start x seconds before I pressed "add bookmark"
Allow a global and per-podcast setting to automatically set a number of seconds which the bookmark would be set BEFORE I pressed the bookmark button. For instance, if I just heard something at 36:00 that I want to bookmark, by the time I know I want to bookmark it, 3-5 seconds will have gone by, so I have to press rewind, and THEN bookmark. It would be nice to allow a bookmark that included the small rewind automatically. :) Thanks again!!

Add + and - Speed Controls to the Player so that we don't have to open the speed adjustment fly out window to adjust the speed
I love the Plus and Minus buttons in the Speed Adjustment fly out, and I use them dozens of times a day. Here are some problems with the fly out window:
1) When I'm watching a video podcast it covers up the video content.
2) It's an extra, unnecessary step to first open the speed adjustment window to then adjust the speed. This is fine for people who set it and forget it, but it would be great to have a less cumbersome option for users like me that adjust the speed and up and down all day long.Many…

The amount of functionality and configuration is incredible.
Reading here in the forum about all the suggestions as well as all the different configuration and personalization option - AMAZING - Respect for the work!My suggestion:
Is it possible to add a "Tab Bar" ad the bottom of the UI on all the main screens?The Tab Bar would contain the main menu points

Allow download to wearables.
I'm getting a Wear OS (Google/Android) based smartwatch and I listen to Podcasts regularly. I would like to take my podcast with me even if I don't have my phone with me.
