  3. Bulk delete of Podcasts

    You can bulk-add podcasts (search for it and use the check all button), but you cannot delete them. So you are screwed if you added by mistake a bunch of podcasts...

  4. Pre-Populate the Name String in "Override Podcast Name"

    I typically just want to eliminate leading "The" + "A" + "An" words in order to have a sane alphabetical sort. But I'm currently forced to re-enter the rest of the (sometimes •long•) title string.

    ALTERNATIVELY:

    Podcast Addict could (a la iTunes) ignore leading articles like these.

  5. Inverse wifi-filter

    The existing wifi-filter requires to add each new WiFi network that is added. I would like to download on any WiFi network EXCEPT one specific one (metered). Could you add functionality to avoid downloading on selected WiFi networks? Thanks, amazing progress so far, long time apostle!

    Sorry but the WiFi Filter feature is now deprecated as Google changed the required permissions since Android 10.
    In order to use this, the app would have to ask for he user location which is way too intrusive for a podcast app…

  6. Podcasts Radio-France

    Dans la listes des émissions, plus de la moitié des icones ne s'affiche pas. Un reload de la liste ou une relance de l'aplli en WiFi, en 3G ou H+ ne résout pas le problème, si bien qu'on ne sait pas à quelle radio correspond telle émission ou réciproquement. Cela suppose de connaître avec précision ce que l'on cherche.
    Je trouve que la liste est trop longue: un filtre ou un classement par radios serait plus pratique.

  8. Be able to mark read or unread based on date

    It would be great to only read or unread based on date release.

    Example: Makrk all episodes before 1/1/13 as read

    You can long press on an episode and select ‘Mark older episodes as read’.
    By default episodes are sorted by date, so it should do the trick.
    Please let me know if it’s OK or if I need to reopen this feature request.

  9. Separate sort-by options

    I want podcast view sorted by publication date but downloads by downloaded date
    This was allowed before, but not anymore

  10. Ability to select specific podcasts from search to add to playlist

    When doing a search for a particular person you get a list of multiple different podcasts that included the interview with this person. There should be some way to select the podcast episodes you want and have them be added to the playlist.

  11. ignore remaing time if option "End after current episode" is enabled

    When I enable the option "End after current episode" and the remaining time is shorter then the episode length the playback stops before the episode ends. If this option is enabled the remaining time should be ignored.

    When you enable the Sleep timer and select ‘End after current episode’, playback will stop if the time is up OR if the end of the episode is reached.
    If you want the playback to stop at the end of the episode, make sure to increase the timer value

  12. Make it easier to play mp3 from folders

    First, most music players seem to organize music like for old style records. I mean

    Album
    Artist
    Track
    That type of music detail

    But I keep my music in file folders. Probably that's what most people do.

    So when I want to play music I go to the file folder and make selections. Of course the product is for podcasts. But if it can do double duty it's one less app sucking space and attention.

    How can I simply navigate, within PP, to file folders? Then select multiple tracks (not necessarily in order)?

    You can already do this by adding a virtual podcast in the app. By doing so the app will show the content of the selected folder as epsiodes of a podcast. You can then play these files or merge them to your current playlist any way you want to.

  13. Auto start playback when connecting headphones

    It would be great if there was an option to start playback automatically when connecting headphones/headset. The idea is that I unplug them upon arriving at work and it stops, and about 8 hours later I plug them in and continue where I left off - awesomeness. It's also a good way to pause playback without handling your phone if you don't have headset buttons.

    You can already do this by enabling the following:

    Settings/Player/Headset/Keep listening to controls

    Settings/Player /Headset/Resume on connection

    That way the app will be able to start playback when plugging the headset even if the player isn’t started.
    But be carreful, because Podcast Addict will then react to every controls even if another app is opened

  14. Allow users to decide if they want Podcast Addict episodes to be visible in the Android music player.

    I personally don´t want to spoil my Podcast listening by having my podcasts in the android music player.
    I want my episodes in the Podcast Manager (Podcast Addict) only.

    That's already the case. A '.nomedia' file is added in the download folder by podcast addict. This is the only way we can tell Android not to display the files in the library, but it doesn't always work..

  15. Ajouter un filtre sur le téléchargement des épisodes

    Il y a des podcasts pour lesquels il y a des teasers, extrait ou bande-annonce. Du coup lors du téléchargement on récupère les extraits qui vont être en doublons avec l'épisode en entier.
    Du coup on se retrouve à marquer lu tous les épisodes de type (extrait, ba ou teaser) et cet manip manuelle est fatiguante ! :(

  16. please add a new option to hide podcast files from other music player apps.

    I'm annoyed by finding podcasts playing when I shuffle my music in my regular music app. It'd be great to have an option to hide these files from other players. This can be done by putting .nomedia files in each directory where the podcast files reside.

    The app doesn’t share anything by default.
    You need to make sure the other app doesn’t browse Podcats Addict download folder.
    Also make sure you didn’t enable Settings/Share with other app, but if your music app doesn’t handle this standard Android flag there’s nothing I can do

  17. A rewind button in status bar

    Hello, thanks for your great work. Sorry for muy bad english.
    Can you add a rewind button? I try in settings but doesn't work and lock screen widget doesn't show a rwd button

  18. Play music in the background

    Have the option to have a third party music player (like Spotify of Google Play Music) play in the background while listening to podcasts, at a different volume to the podcast.

  20. Request for Notification area Player

    Thank you for the great player!

    Simply add an option to show remaining/elapsed time in notification player.

    Would it be possible to add to App Drawer Notification Area line following info:
    Episode Playback Progress %
    Bar line,
    h:mm Left to episode playback end

    Some audiobook players have it - like Listen Audiobook Player and Smart Audiobook Player - they also use taller notification line for more space, and it's 1st priority, so used to have this info in Notification list pulldown.

    I already have it in "Expandable Notification" - but info above is still not present.
