  2. Add extra podcast networks.

    Westwood One is a newer network growing in US. A lot of former Podcast one podcasts moving there.

  4. Change "listened to" hours to reflect if an episode was listened to multiple times.

    In "playback statistics" for podcasts, only the first listen adds to the total time listened. Subsequent listen throughs of the same episode don't update that time.

  5. When an automatic update starts, the device screen turns on for a couple of seconds.

    This has not always been the case. My phone's screen turning on without me wanting it is somewhat creepy...

  6. Window for when to download episodes.

    Basically, I started a podcast with hundreds of episodes to listen to. Since it already updated the podcast, it keeps attempting to download the next unread episode as I listen to them. I would prefer it if it would just wait till night to try downloading them. I have batch limit set to 3 but it still gets triggered too often

  7. add filters and actions

    filters that trigger on all podcasts / playlist / one podcast
    and have actions associated (e.g. delete episode, mark as read, ...)

    Example: if there is a podcast which from time to time has episodes I don't like, I could set up a filter "episode text contains xyz" and add the action "delete from playlist" and I wouldn't be bothered with stuff I don't like

  8. add a stop button

    when i ask it to update, if I have a podcast paused, the automatic cleanup does not work. I do not know which ones will update so I cannot avoid this issue and I then have to manually clean up which is what automatic cleanup is supposed to save me from.
    why not just give us a stop button so that it isn't halfway through ANY episode. then there is no discrimination. it will work as it should, on every podcast.

  9. Automatic cleanup after time- or episode-delay.

    This has come up before: "delay automatic deletion of a podcast" etc. But I disagree that you've already implemented this well.

    If I missed something interesting near the end of a podcast, it would be easier to use the previous-track button than to rummage through my trash. This is important e.g. in driving mode or when listening through a headset with limited user interface buttons.

    Desired behaviour: at the end of a podcast, it's tagged for deletion, but until then behaves just like a non-deleted playlist track.

  10. Autoplay downloaded episodes only

    I'd like to be able to enable a setting to autoplay only downloaded episodes, even when online. Currently, it will autoplay the next in the series via streaming when online.

  11. seen status

    I download just some Podcast from my feeds, in the podcast i have not downloaded i am not intressted. I would like to mark all not downloaded podcast as "seen" to hide them for the next time i look through my feeds. If i choose mark all as read the downloaded Podcast lose there picture, in some of my feeds 2-3 podcast are published and i dont want to mark them one by one.

  12. Option for Audiobooks to ignore read status for temp playlist

    My use case:

    Add audio book as folder of series of sequentially named mp3's. Listen to audio as I fall asleep. App settings>playlist>continous playback is ticked. skip played episodes is ticked (otherwise it will go back to ep 1)

    When I have found my place, I then need to press and hold each episode that appears as read beyond that one to set to unplayed and reset progress for any that aren't at start, it takes time and is un-necessary on any normal audiobook app which would just play forward from there.   16. Get to continue your search after playing a new episode

    So whenever I'm searching for new podcasts, the app immediately switches to the podcast control screen, and I lose my search. I think it'd be better if the podcast played minimized, allowing me to continue searching and adding to my queue

  17. A "watch later" option with a dedicated tab/playlist, similar to YouTube

    Sometimes I have review type pods about movies I haven't seen and skip, only to forget to come back to after seeing the movie

  18. How I would like my podcast app to work

    There are too many options and it isn't clear how they work. What I want doesn't seem unreasonable. I have other wishes but basically these are the most important features.
    I want to be able to specify how many episodes I want available. I want to specify whether to go from older to newer or newer to older. I want episodes deleted after I have listened AND I want the next episode to queue up. I DON'T WANT TO SEE OLDER, LISTENED TO EPISODES TO SHOW AT ALL. I DON'T WANT TO SEE UNDOWNLOADED FUTURE EPISODES TO SHOW AT ALL!!!!…

  19. New setting: Dim the display

    It would be great to have an additional setting just under "Keep player screen ON":
    'Dim the display'
    In another great app that I use, Music Folder Player, there is a setting:
    3-dot menu in the upper right corner / User interface / Backlight:
    • Dim backlight
    • Allow backlight to turn off
    • Keep backlight on

    So, make it possible to dim the display. If one listens to long podcasts, then the difference between keeping the backlight on continuously on full (normal) brightness and keeping it on dimmed (to minimum brightness) could be huge.

  20. Ability to toggle sleep timer in Android Auto

    When using Android Auto, if the sleep timer is not already manually turned off from the app (on the phone) there is no way to turn it off when using Podcast Addict though Android Auto.
    The feature request is to turn off sleep timer from Android Auto.
