  1. Filter / Selective Download

    I would love an option to filter / delete or "mark as played" for duplicate episodes within the same podcast. When i start a new podcast i like to go back and listen to the older episodes. Certain shows, specifically NPR ones like "this american life", "wait wait dont tell me" ... etc and "TED radio hour", post the same episode as a re-run. I download all my episodes and delete them after they have been played so they take up a ton of space on my phone with duplicates. I also spend a large amount of time sorting by…

  2. Ability to ignore new podcasts to sync/download... rather than "mark played"

    Currently, if I run a sync and it lists 100 new episodes, I need to decide whether to download them or "mark played" in order to get them to disappear from my "newly available" list. I would much rather tag them as "ignore" so those same episodes don't continually appear in my list. Or just have the ability to exclude podcasts from your normal sync and then have a separate "sync all" command/option.

  3. Download/sync by custom podcast group

    I have a ton of podcasts I follow. It would be nice if I could group them in a custom way. For instance: My favourites, length, etc. It would be even better if I could have the default sync feature only act on those groups I choose. Right now syncing almost 100 podcasts takes a while and leaves me with a list I have to go through and select download, or "mark as played" to get it off my sync list. I would love to have a favorites group and be able to sync only those, leaving the rest off…

  5. Ability to rewind in audiobooks from first seconds of one episode to last seconds of the previous in continuous playback mode

    For example:
    - you have audiobook consisting of 3 files
    - duration of each file is 10 minutes
    - idea: when you are listening (for example) 5 sec of second file (10:05) and press "-15 sec" button, it should automatically set position at 09:50 of first file

  6. Move delete podcast option away from the add to playlist option in downloaded episode menu.

    With the options being right next to each other I tend to accidentally delete episodes instead of adding to playlist.

  8. Create a "Keep at most" override notification

    Please add an override or change limit message when attempting to manually download a number of episodes that when combined with what has already been downloaded will exceed the "keep at most" limit if it's not already set to unlimited. I think this is why I keept experiencing stage behavior when trying to download a lot of episodes and forgot to charge that limit. It seems like it's downloading all of them then marking all but the most recent (insert limit) episodes as played add deleting the downloads.

    Thanks for providing the best podcast player and scraper for Android!

  10. "New Episodes" screen > swipe episode to download (right) or "mark as read" (left)

    As an Android user of Podcast Addict, I refresh my podcast feed (over 30 subscriptions) once or twice a week. In my configuration, this presents a list of 15-20 entries on the "new episodes" page.

    I manually download the episodes I'm interested in, and mark the ones I'm not interested in as "read".

    Problem: a user must select an episode on the New Episodes screen, launch the episode's screen, then select either "download" or "mark read" on the screen.

    It would be really useful to have a shortcut feature on the main New Episode screen which allows me to quickly…

  11. Two-finger gestures on the player screen to play/pause/FF/RR/etc.

    E.g., two-finger tap to play/pause, two-finger swipe-left to rewind, two-finger swipe-right to fast forward.

    This method of interaction could be useful for those who are driving and prefer the look of the standard layout as opposed to the car layout.

  12. Move the delete episode button

    For downloaded episodes, the "delete episode" button is just below the "add to playlist" button and there is no "Are you sure?" Prompt after so it is too easy to accidently delete shows.

  13. Allow sharing from the playlist and recycle bin

    It would be useful to have the same sharing options when long pressing on an episode in the playlist or recycle bin views as you do in the 'normal' podcast view.

    Often I'll want to share a specific podcast to someone after I have listened to it, at which point it's in the recycle bin and so I have to restore it, share it then delete it again.

    It would also be nice if the sharing could be overhauled to be more intuitive but maybe that's another suggestion!

  15. Easy access to episode list from playback screen

    It would be nice with a button on the playback screen that took me to the episode list for that podcast. (If the back button did the same that would be awesome)

  16. Subscription History

    I know of the ‘Playback history’ in Settings/Sliding menu"… but that only shows playback history of podcasts you have listened to, that are currently downloaded … a "Subscription History" would be great. I've had SO many audiobooks downloaded, & then deleted because keeping them once listened to, takes up way too much space in phone… but when I'm searching for new podcasts/audiobooks, there's no way to tell if I've downloaded it previously. If there was something like a little icon in the thumbnail corner (like the green tick), that appears on any podcast you've ever listened to, it'd save precious…

  17. Download certain amount of episodes from custom playlists

    I have multiple custom playlists, and I want to download a couple of episodes from every playlist.

    A menu where you could specify the amount of episodes to automatically download from every custom playlist would do the trick

  18. Respect synchronization setting in Android

    PodcastAddict should respect Android's Synchronization setting and not try to update podcasts when the option is turned off.
    This option is used system-wide to save data and/or battery when necessary.

  19. Allow for a consistent notification style regardless of what podcast is playing (disable album artwork in notification)

    It would be nice if I could always have the notification look the same regardless of what I am listening to. Right now if I listen to a podcast with red artwork, the notification bar turns red, but if I listen to a podcast with a black album artwork, the notification is black. I never care what the artwork is, I want the notification to be back (to match my system theme).
