Chromecast/cast button on widget
I know you have a Chromecast button on the app but it would be brilliant to be able to have an option on the widget setting for enable a cast button on the widget itself, I am always casting and have to go into the app to cast it which is not a problem but I normally play my current podcast from the player controls on the widget, is this something you could do? Love the app , it's the only podcast app I will ever use :)

Add a counter for newly available episodes that are not already downloaded or on playlist
On the Podcasts page, when in list view, it is optional in the settings to have the "Unplayed Counter" show or not show. The episodes that show in this count include those that are available, downloaded or already a playlist. It would be helpful to have a similar count for the episodes that are recently available. For example if I am checking for episodes once each day (which I then either choose to download and/or put onto my playlist), I will know which podcasts to open each day to download the newest episodes. Scary static noise while playing bluetooth
Occasionally over bluetooth this podcast app will make a very loud static screeching noise. It's only this app and not other audio/video players.

Is there an option for push notifications?
On Google Play and SoundCloud, there after push notifications that appear in the notification bar. So far I have not been able to find this in Podcast Addict.

This would mitigate the drain on the phone's battery when having a rapid automatic refresh cycle (30 minutes).

Pouvoir enregistrer des playlists sous des noms différents, et pouvoir les écouter à volonté: c'est à dire une vrai gestion de playlist. Il ne s'agit pas seulement d'avoir la possibilité d'avoir plusieurs playlist en jouant avec les catégories.MAIS bien une VRAI gestion de playlist, que l'on peut nommer, enregistrer dans un dossier, récupérer d'un appareil à l'autre.

Improve the sleep timer with some more customisation
Couple of ideas to improve the sleep timer.
+Add the option for a gentle tone before the audio fade out to make it a bit more obvious the timer is about to expire (the vibrate is a bit to loud)
+Make the audio fade out a bit longer and a add a bit more of a fade from normal volume to silence
+Enable the option to reset the sleep timer at any point by shaking, not just when the timer reaches zero
+Make the countdown for the timer visible somewhere on the player screen

Have the appearance of the widget customisable
I love the 1x1 widget option of going directly to the 'Recent Episodes' page, but the orange logo clashes with the look of my homepage (very minor, very nitpicky problem, I know). It would be nice to either be able to set the home page within the app so the widget was unnecessary and an ordinary custom icon could be used, or to have appearance options for the available widget. But honestly this is my biggest complaint about the app — it's just that good!

Find (for deleting) duplicate episodes within a podcast by calculating its file hash
a sadly common use case:
Podcast owner changes episode titles and (accidentally) republishes them with a new RSS GUID tag. This results in the episode duplicating in PA as PA has no way to detect duplicates if the RSS GUID is different.
solution:
Offer a way to activate a more advanced filtering option per podcast that calculates each episodes file hash and then compares the episodes by hashes. Since this is cpu intensive, it should only be triggered manually via a menu option.
When marking episodes for deletion PA should pick the one not listened to OR prefer those published…

I want to Auto-download all episodes of 'The Jordan Harbinger Show' with the words 'Feedback Friday' in the episode name.I want to still see ALL the episodes of the podcast, so I can manually download other episodes that look interesting.
Right now, you can only filter the episodes that Podcast Addict retrieves for each podcast's list of episodes

Fine-grained volume control
The steps at the lower end of volume control are too coarse, I can hardly find the proper volume when listening to podcasts before sleep.
Other apps, e.g. HERE, are able to implement volume control with very fine stepping with system-wide effect and no root access required. (that's just as an example to prove it can be done)
Beyond that it might be convenient to have a dynamic volume control depending on the current volume. Small steps when quiet, normal steps when already louder.

Tab Bar at the bottom of the main pages
First of all - AWESOME APP !!!
The amount of functionality and configuration is incredible.
Reading here in the forum about all the suggestions as well as all the different configuration and personalization option - AMAZING - Respect for the work!My suggestion:
Is it possible to add a "Tab Bar" ad the bottom of the UI on all the main screens?The Tab Bar would contain the main menu points

Easier sleep timer needed
The sleep timer is very cumbersome to manage, especially with sleepy eyes. Please make it possible to activate with a single touch, now it takes three. I appreciate that it's possible to make the sleep timer "always on" though it's not what I need.

Played items dimmed
So far, I love this. I have one problem, however: a green check mark appears on the thumbnail of a played podcast. This is the only way something is marked as "played," and it doesn't help me. I can't tell at a glance which things are unplayed. If anything, the green check mark only makes the podcasts I've already listened to more visible. They should be less visible. There's just not enough of a distinction between the appearance of a played vs. unplayed item.
Instead, podcasts marked-as-played should be dimmed or faded out in the list, or just not in…

Add a 'hide played episodes' per podcast override.
..similar to the implemented custom sorting per podcast, hiding played episodes would be nice. A switch within the 'hide played' function to 'show favorite episodes only' would be amazing.

Save playlists
I would like to make save able custom sorted playlists. I have podcasts that I like to go back and relisen to but in customisable mixed orders. Example: HISTORY PODCASTS. i subscribe to several history podcasts and would like to mix them together but order them by time of the events being discussed in the podcasts rather than by the release date. What I would like to do is make a playlist much like you do with music and then I can just save it and refer to it whenever rather than having to re-add them to the audio playlist…

You can create categories of podcasts (History, Dudes talking, …) and affect podcasts to those categories. Then you can select the category you want to listen to -
Need manual with TOC. FAQ is chaos and not written as explanation
This app is very functional with lots of settings, tool bars, screens, etc. Frequently it can be difficult to locate where to do something. Other times it is not obvious what function is available or what an icon does. For example Bookmark seems obvious but I'm struggling with how to use it. The app would really benefit from a manual written in an organized way with screen captures and text written to explain

Improve sleep timer
Monitor shakes and reset the sleep timer when a shake is detected. So the sleep timer activate X minutes after the last shake. And you can shake again as usual.
This can be used all the time. When you move about and carry the phone it will keep playing.
