Create a Podcast Addict's podcast database/listing...
...so podcast producers could inscribe their podcasts to Podcast Addict independently. It would be perfect for Podcast Addict users, and podcast listeners, to find a podcast that doesn't show on the itunes listing.

Dead man's switch
When falling asleep I don't know how long it will take me to fall asleep, so the sleep timer isn't of much use to me. Please implement an option to add a dead man's switch to the player.
Proposed functionality:
When held, podcast plays normally .Upon finger sliding off, a timer will start with 10 - 30 sec.
If the button is held again during this time, the timer is reset.
After timer has run out (preferably when there are x seconds left), podcast will gradually reduce volume over x seconds until it reaches 0% and the podcast is…

Allow different streaming permissions for audio and video
Allow audio to be streamed or downloaded over cellular while preventing video from doing so.

reduce height of landscape mode so scrolling isn't required as much
I only use your app in landscape mode and clicking on a podcast requires scrolling to see a episode to play. Please reduce the heightso it's faster to click play on an episode

In the Podcast view the toggle the meaning of the orange triangle or add another showing downloaded episodes.
This way you can download the podcast you want (important ones) and choose to listen to downloaded ones later at one glance.

check for writability of the external SD, even on KitKat. I am rooted and patched so I can store files where I want.
Instead of just assuming that a KitKat device cannot arbitrarily write to external SD, check for writability when selecting the download directory for podcasts. iow, no more :"Since android KitKat, apps can no longer write to the SD card except in their own folder."

Have enhanced podcasts.
In some podcasts on iTunes, there are enhanced podcasts where you can click on the player and it goes to the thing they're talking about, like a video or article. There should be an option or something to download that version.

allow more precise scrubbing/navigating within a podcast
On phone-sized screens it is very hard to use the scrub control (/"scroll bar ") to precisely navigate within a track/podcast (within ~30 seconds of precision). Please do one of the following to improve it:
- use a multi-level scrub control which allows more precise scrubbing by dragging up or down -YouTube does this for long videos and iOS also does something like this.
-build in some kind of protection so that when the user is picking up their finger the scrub control does not move

Parse plain text for URL links
Some podcast descriptions include a URL link to more info but are in plain text and aren't clickable. Is there a way you all could have the app parse and convert any "http://" to hyperlinks?

Episodes Filters should mark episode read, not just hide them.
Right now I filter some episodes with words, but sometimes I do want to download them or the filters catch episodes I don't want them too. Right now Episodes Filter hides episodes and there is not way to download them.
Episodes Filters should mark the episode as read and still show in the podcast list.

Swipe left/right for previous/next episode.
I listen to podcasts when I go running. It's a little clumsy trying to find the button to move to the next episode. A swipe function would allow me to do that without even having to look at it.

Option to disable uploading of podcast subscription/playback data
It would be great to be able to opt out of the uploading of podcast subscription and playback data. At present I have to block it at the firewall and/or host file which is less than ideal.

add an option to change colour of time line on widget and lockscreen
We can change font and button colours on the widget, but not the colour of the time line(the bar that shows how far we are in the episodes).
I like how PocketCast app can change the colour based on the artwork, perhaps that could be an option?

to make it possible to change filename in the disc directly from the app
Make it possible to change the filename directly from the app. Now the name in the app are those given by the seeder and file names in the hdd aren't always the same. It would be nice if we can change file names in the hdd in order to store them correctly. Thanks
10 votesNext version will allow you to customize default file names using predefined patterns. A 1st beta will soon be availble. Make sure to join the Beta on the Play Store app page to test this and provide some feedback.
This will of course apply to new downloaded episodes only.
You will have to go to Settings/Download and press on 'Use Custom filenames' to change the default behavior
