1. Have the video player become a floating window similar to G player for android

   floating video windows are drag and drop movable and drag to resize window and sometimes have other gestures for next previous vol up and down etc and of course always on top of other running apps

2. Clean up the UI.

   I love your app, but it does need a bit of a UI overhaul.

   • 1 Remove unessicary clutter and put more relevant info in the front. Put the catigories selector into the side bar. The "hide read podcast" button probably won't be used very often to justify putting it were it is and cluttering the display. The refresh button is redundant because you already can swipe down to refresh, which is more intuitive. Put a search button into the top bar. A back button to go to the main page from individual podcast pages would be nice though. I saw sub menus that were either mini versions of the main menus, or popups. Change all the sub menus to popups. Move "icons help" into help.

   • 2 Clean up the player. First, make it so that you can swipe down to collapse the player (like the google play music app) or replace the side menu tab with a close button. Maybe make the album art and player controls a bit smaller so you can move the favorite and sleep timer buttons down. A podcast description button might want to be put down there as well, because I would prefer that to tapping on the artwork (less chance of accidentally hitting it ) instead, make tapping the artwork show the queue. The speed ajustment should be put into the menu. Maybe share rate and "www" (that NEEDS to be more descriptive) could be combined into one sub menu. Remember to remvove redundant options.

   • 3 clean up the side tray and its options. Remove search, player, and playlist (queue) buttons (because you implemented better ways of doing that before) Also remove the bottom refresh, settings, and add buttons, and replace it with one big settings button. Take out all solid color from the side tray. Combine "all" and "7 day" into a feed which has seperators for each day/week.

   • 4 make the app more visually appealing. Make a white version, so people better notice the material design. (Most material design apps are white by default, but have a dark mode option). Get rid of the shadow on the podcast artwork. Make the top of the podcast's individual page a giant picture of the artwork instead of the translucent stuff. Clean up the fonts, especially in the sub menus. Make the blue accents a shade of blue or another color that is brighter.

   I know that was long, but I really am happy that I have so much to critique. It isn't at all bad that the app is overflowing with features. Something like pocketcasts (I think that's what it is called) might have pretty design, but functionality should come first. Thank you so much for making a great app! It was 100% worth my money. I hope this feedback helps and I am totally willing to bug test in any way.

3. Retry failed downloads on podcast refresh

   It would be great to have an option to automatically redownload all episodes wich failed to download for some reason(SD card was full for example). It could start download from the oldest unlisted episode.

5. allow customisation of multiple podcast settings in parallel

   Either via multiple selection of podcasts or per category label. I'd like to customise my settings for multiple podcasts.

   Basically, I have a group of 6-8 podcasts that I like to download the latest episodes from daily, another group on weekends, and the rest only manually (when I'm bored or planning on long travel). Rather than having to have the automatic settings for the largest group and individually customising each of the podcasts from the first two groups individually, I'd like to add each group to a list and set the custom settings for the entire list. (Programmatically, I'd just go for custom settings for each podcast in the list which are applied upon clicking Save)

6. "Smart-sorting" option

   I usually make some very long playlist's, which takes ages to sort the way i'd like, even though it isn't really that advanced, it is practically:
   first
   - random
   then some requirements:
   - never have two of the same podcast right after each other
   - sort each podcast by release date; old -> new
   that's it :)

7. Always open on the view that was used last.

8. start caching the next stream when the current one is about to finish

   To reduce the silent gap between two episodes when streaming, please start buffering the next episode when the current one is a few seconds from ending.

9. reduce height of landscape mode so scrolling isn't required as much

   I only use your app in landscape mode and clicking on a podcast requires scrolling to see a episode to play. Please reduce the heightso it's faster to click play on an episode

    En mi caso tengo un podcast personalizado, solo se distribuye por descarga directa. Cuando coloco los archivos en su carpeta, al actualizar los episodios todos aparecen con el mismo nombre. su nombre original aparece de esta manera: (nombre de podcast) - (fecha de podcast). En la aplicacion solo me aparece de esta forma: (nombre de podcast) y nada mas, me cuesta trabajo identificar a que fecha corresponde cada uno porque todos se llaman igual. Tal vez tenga que ver con los tags del archivo y es algo que puedo arreglar de manera personal, pero es mas comodo y rapido si la app me permite ver el nombre completo del archivo porque ahi esta la descripcion del mismo.

14. Slightly change the sort order behaviour, with Publication Date (Old>New)

    Currently, the main screen sorts podcasts based on the newest episode, which makes sense when the sort order is New>Old. However, when I sort Old>New, I would prefer it to be based on the oldest unread episode. Currently, the podcast with the oldest unread episode will drop down the list when a newer episode of that podcast is released. Hope that's clear. This is probably the best app on my phone BTW!

16. Current podcast time in description viewer

    I mostly listen to house mixes podcasts. Usually the DJ adds the tracklist and time in the mix in the description. I'd like to see the current time of the podcast in the bottom player instead of the total time, when I look at the description.

17. TeslaUnread plugin display number of unread episodes in Playlis

    The TeslaUnread plugin appears to display the total of unread episodes. I'm not sure where it gets the number from, but it isn't from the playlist. I would like option were only shows episodes in the playlist, so I know how many episodes that I have to listen to.

    · old: episode not longer in RSS
    · broken: episode file 404
    and accordingly, more elaborate filter options:
    · don't show old episodes
    · REMOVE old episodes that are unread & unfavorited from db
    · show ONLY read episodes

    Right now, I have thousands of old episodes accumulating of which most are removed from the servers. But marking them as read does not remove them from the database, and it's also counterfactual because I have not actually listened to them. My podcastAddict.db is already 40 MiB and it unsurprisingly slows down the app somewhat.

19. Interleave random songs from my music playlist with the podcasts

    My taste for the spoken word waxes and wanes with my taste for music. I programmed my old MP3 player to do this with great success: insert a random music file between each podcast. This only makes sense if you have a library of 100-1000 songs on your phone.

20. automatic download chronological order

    Right now, whenever there is a new episode the automatic update downloads that cast and adds it to the play list. Even if you're on episode ten and the new episode is 200. Further, it does not download the next unread episode not already on your device. If I have ten episodes at a time on my device and I've just finished episode one, as it deletes that episode it should download episode 11 automatically (or que it up to the download queue for once I'm back in WiFi).
