Alternate podcasts considering channel queue lengths
I often use Alternate podcasts option with sorting by decreasing priority and increasing release date.
It works well with channels with similar length of their queued episodes. But with big difference of lengths, it has a side effect of prioritizing the short queues. Much newer episodes from shirt queues are played before older ones from longer queues. By other words, shorter the channel queue is, higher us the average item position in the playlist.
As a work around, I periodically "reshake" the playlist by turning "Alternate podcasts" OFF/ON and moving current episode to the top again.

Sort playlist based on number of episodes available minus unlistened.
This idea is to attempt to never miss anything by old episodes never being downloaded due to no longer being on the podcast list. Prioritize by how close the oldest is to being made unavailable.

Add a "stop" button for radio podcast
Since the only way to avoid ads is to stop streaming (long press on pause button) instead of pausing it, maybe would be nice to have a "stop" button near the "pause" button, for radio podcasts in particuliar. Long press behaviour is not very intuitive and there's room for such a button on the UI.

lock on app screen
Not on the widget, but on the app screen itself.
I'm not sure if my fingers are just too fat or I'm being too impatient, but I press the forward button on accident all the time. I know I could remove the forward button altogether, but I still use it. I'm wishing for something similar to the lock on Smart Audiobook Player (link below), where enabling the lock disables the other buttons on the app screen (or something to that effect). I want to gain an overview (get context) of played and unplayed episodes of a group of podcasts of a specific category (e.g. all NASA podcasts grouped under my label NASA).

Support a configuration to "automatically share" podcast description after listen-complete.
Some users may listen to podcasts / audio content for professional or educational purposes, and therefore have to log the content in external systems.
Problem: Currently, for a user to share an episode description is a multi-step manual process through the AP menu system, which is suboptimal.
It would be useful to provide these user with a PA configuration that supports automatically sharing listened episodes' descriptions to some external system. E.g. send podcast description text to email.
Prefer this to be a setting at a podcast subscription level... though I imagine there are cases where users want to set it…

Automatic Rewind
I have a couple ideas for a new features. The first I think it would be nice if the Automatic Rewind had the option to adjust the playback speed up to the next threshold until the position in the episode has returned to where we left off.
I'll give an example. Let's say the Speed Adjustment at 1.2x Automatic Rewind set to 5 minutes with Incremental Rewind enabled. And an example scenario might be that the Automatic Incremental rewind moved the current position back 3 minutes. So for the next 3 minutes the player would operate at a playback speed…

Add an option to disable animations
Add an option to disable animations in the player like the scrolling podcast name and flashing timestamp when paused. It can be sensory overload for some of us.

Add a "Subscribe in Podcast Addict" share sheet button
Sometimes feed URL's don't open in Podcast Addict automatically. I would like to be able to hit "Share" on a web page, and hit a "Subscribe to this feed in Podcast Addict" button, which would bring the current URL into the add subscription page. The manual way is to copy the URL, open Podcast Addict, hit the Add button, hit the Add button again, then select RSS feed. Pretty clunky.

Add Jump Ahead & Rewind buttons
Google Podcast app has a +30 second and a -10 second button. These are super helpful. Please include in your app which is otherwise much better. Thank you!

Put an icon on podcasts that aren't part of grouped updates
There is a custom setting that allows you to allow a podcast to not be part of the grouped updates. I'd like some kind of denotation on the podcast icon that shows it isn't updated with the others, so I know to manually update it when I want to (maybe the circular arrows with a line through them). This would be for podcasts that aren't made anymore but you'd want to check every once in a while, instead of with the rest of the active podcasts.

Automatic volume level control of episodes in playlist
Episodes from different podcasts are mastered at different volume settings. It would be good to have an automatic volume level control, so that all episodes in playlist play back at the same volume level.

Auto playback progress reset
Add a setting, which would automatically reset the playback progress and/or delete downloaded episodes, if they haven't been listened to in more than 30 days and are not marked as a favorite.

When paused and "play from top" is enabled, make the added episode the currently playing
I usually have several longer podcasts queued up.
When I leave for work or from work, I download the latest news podcast from the local radio station, put on my headphones and press play. But before that I need to tap on the first item in the playlist to switch the currently playing title.
What I suggest is: when a title is added to the top of the playlist, at least when paused, automatically make it the currently playeing title, so that when I press play/unpause, the most recently added one will start playing instead of continuing the one I…

Audiobooks/folder content-set sort by name on import
For podcasts the usual sort is by Publication Date
For audiobooks the usual sort is Name AscIt would be good if when importing audiobooks/folder content if the sort for them was AUTOMATICALLY switched to Name Asc on import.
That would save a lot of time consulting help and messing around: enabling custom sort and then going to each audiobook/folder to set it up separately.
