Creating groups in playlist
The idea is to be able to "link" selected episodes in a group in the playlist screen.
When you rearrange part of or all your playlist, these episodes stay in a block without losing their reorder. You can also move them together.
It would benefit episodical podcasts especially.Additional idea : have the possibility to collapse this group to have a less cluttery playlist.

Add PA 'activities' to FAQ.
Add to your FAQ that each 'panel' (podcasts, playlists, audio player, video player) is an 'activity'. I was able to add the 'audio player' activity to my 'car mode' launcher. No need to use the side-pull menu when driving. These are also available as widgets if your car mode launcher can use those (mine can't - activities to the rescue).
This is literally something you can 'fix in the docs'. :-)1 vote -
Volume compressor / normalizer
Add an optional feature to enable (and adjust the degree of) volume compression so that the dynamic volume range is minimized within a given track.

Please add "Start an episode from the beginning" feature to Remote controls>Double click.

add recycle bin usage as an overrideable per podcast setting
Allow overriding the use of the recycle bin per podcast, like many other settings can be per podcast. This way a user can turn on the recycle bin as the default, but adjust other podcasts to have a longer/shorter time-frame to keep items around for. More specifically, being able to turn off the recycle bin for a particular podcast (say an hourly news podcast that there are a lot of episodes of) could save having many items in the recycle bin.

Double tap on the left half side of the video to rewind 10 sec and double tap on the right half to fast forward 10 sec e.g.

implement multi-sort options for Podcast display
My playlist is sorted by priority, then by download date. The easiest way for me to interact with my Podcasts lists would be by priority, then by episodes remaining. As it stands I keep it on episodes remaining, but that results in podcasts I've just started, despite being higher priority, displaying mixed in with all the ones I haven't gotten around to yet.

display remaining time for each episode in playlist
I'm interested in seeing the remaining time of all the individual episodes in the playlist. I know I can look at the total remaining time for the playlist, or I can open each one, but I'd like to see the episodes in the playlist displayed with remaining time rather than the original duration.

turn off Patreon button selectively per podcast
I just noticed the Patreon banner under specific podcasts, and just used it to support my recent favourite! great feature! however, after going back to the podcast, the banner sticks out like a sore thumb and is a completely unnecessary waste of space. please let me disable it for certain podcasts SELECTIVELY either if I'm not interested in supporting, or if I've already supported!

Separate podcast and downloaded episodes view settings
This is stupid minor compared to the cool ideas being offered up here, but I would like to have a "hide played episodes" setting unique to each grouping. In my case that would be each podcast folder and the downloaded episodes list.
This would entail taking a global property and making it local to several classes. That may be a deal killer.

Make the threshold for skipping silence modular
I'm currently listening to a podcast with some audio issues. In addition to long silences, there are also moments where the volume of the speaking voices is low. These moments are skipped, making the podcast difficult to understand while skipping silence. I propose a slider that allows you to modify the volume threshold that the skip silence feature opts to cut, so that moments where those speaking are quiet won't be cut out alongside.

Mark all future episodes as unplayed
Sometimes I forget to set my sleep timer and the app chews through like fifteen episodes while I'm asleep, so I have to go back and mark them all as unplayed, one at a time. It's be nice to just find the last one I remember hearing and Mark everything past it as unplayed. Love the app!

Extend podcasts view with priority
Currently, editing the podcasts priority is a chore, it would be a lot simpler if I could admin this from the podcast view, both by editing/adding priorities and, most importantly, dragging podcasts between priorities.

Stop button on widget option
Hi - Great app! Thank you. Widget settings has options to turn certain buttons (fast forward etc) on and off. I'd like to be able to stop (not just pause) playing radio from the widget. If the Stop button could please be included as an option on the widget. Thank for considering =)

Set storage dir via AOSP file picker.
Partly because scoped storage looms on the horizon, partly because I would like to place everything on a USB key I carry around. Yes I know it'll bork if I launch the app before mounting the USB drive, I have my reasons.

Cleanup episodes with a threshold time remaining
I know you've responded by saying that you can long press to go to the next episode, but this is not convenient for the listening habbits of many people, which is why you keep getting the same suggestion.
If I'm done with an episode, and there's ads playing, I go back to home and select another podcast altogether. Like many people who keep reporting this, I end up with tons of episodes not marked finished with like 3% remaining.
There should really be a per-podcast option to cleanup if less than a set percent OR time remains. It should automatically…

modify "download date" sort to be "short date (day only)", or add "short download date (day only)" sort option
when i use the "download date" option to sort my playlist they are played in the same order i downloaded them, seemingly because the download date includes exact time of the download. this is a problem because i would also like to apply other sorts to the playlist.
in my specific case i want to sort by: download date (day only) > short publication date (old -> new) > name. but because each download date is different the publication and name sorts are never used and my playlist is played in the order i downloaded the episodes rather than an…

Podcast badge counter options
It would be nice to have the option to have the badge counter on podcasts be able to change how the counter iterates to other options other than any unplayed. Examples include:
1. "Downloaded/added to queue but not listened to".
2. "New" - new since the last time the app was used.
3. "New" - new since the last episode of each individual podcast was played.The current implementation means that users must mark every old episode as played for the counter to reset, including episodes in the distant past, which makes it difficult to track new episodes in longer-running…
