  1. Allow users to flag unsubscribed shows

    Occasionally when looking for new shows, I come across some that I've already listened to but didn't enjoy. It'd be wonderful to be able to flag their show art/icon with a little dislike symbol that lets me know that it wasn't for me.

  2. Allow a longer description

    It would be great to be able to read more of the description for the podcast on the listing screen.

  3. The time until the end of playback (on the widget).

    The widget needs playback progress not only in the form of a band, but as a digital counter of reverse time until the end of the podcast.

  5. Add an ption to limit the number of downloaded episodes that show in playlist

    I'd like to have 3-5 episodes downloaded but have a smaller number (say 1 or 2) automatically show up in the playlist. In this way, if don't have wifi access to download for a while I have plenty to listen to but my playlist isn't overly cluttered and I can navigate to different podcasts quickly.

  6. Add gesture controls to pause/play/forward/skip seconds etc when screen is off. (Such as in Google play)

    I listen to it while sleeping or driving. If I want to skip the promo in the episode, I will have to switch on the screen and then do it. Do you think you'd face this issue? Please upvote. Thanks in advance!

  7. Customize update frequency per podcast.

    There are certain podcasts that I don't want to check for updates every time the auto-update runs.

    Either because the podcast is finished, and I only want to stay subscribed in case the podcast will use their feed to deliver me news of a new, similar podcast they're doing.

    Or it's that I know that the podcast will not update more than a few times a year.

    Would be cool if I could customize the frequency for each podcast. The same way I can disable updates altogether for certain podcasts.

  8. Switch to a Subscription Payment Model

    I don't expect this to be super-popular idea but:

    I wish that you would switch to a subscription payment model. I really like this app and I'd like for it to be around a long time and so it needs to be financially sustainable for you.

    I've purchased the one-time $3.99 app to remove ads, but I'd gladly pay $3.99 per year or more in order to keep the app around forever.

  9. Mensaje diciendo que con pulsación larga se reporta a Google podcast con contenido inapropiado

    Hola: En primer lugar enhorabuena por la que considero la mejor app para oír podcasts.

    En los últimos días me ha aparecido 2 veces el mensaje y temo que, por error, yo haya podido reportar 2 podcasts a Google.

    Una vez que sale el mensaje no tiene botón para cancelar, sólo para aceptar.

    No sé si el mensaje ha salido porque yo he hecho pulsaciones largas o es sólo un aviso que sale de forma automática.

  10. highlighted sleep timer button with progress

    Currently the sleep timer button is displayed as a static clock(inactive) or a "/" (active).

    When you currently press it, it brings up an options dialogue. This is annoying/unnecessary to have an extra step for users that use it all the time.

    This should be changed to be a toggle.
    Either "Active" or "Inactive".

    When it is "Active", the clock is highlighted/coloured and a mini-countdown timer shows progress.

    When it is "Inactive" the clock is greyed out.

    You can access the settings to the player settings, if you need to change duration/behaviour.

  12. Add option to download latest episode in 'Download Older first'

    I have a couple of podcasts that I want to listen to all the older episodes in order, but also listen to the latest episodes as they are published. Right now, I have them set to 'Archive Mode' and 'Download Older First' and manually add the latest episodes when published.

    However, it would be nice to have the option to also have it automatically download the new episodes when published. This way I can listen to the new episodes while also catching up on the older ones.

  13. Audiobooks/folder content-adding/removing new folders/audiobooks automatically to PA

    Could PA remember the folder content path and scan it for changes so that new folders/audiobooks are added/removed automatically? IMHO that is a core requirement for PA to be a viable audiobook player- a true all in one app.

  15. Hide podcasts that are completed with no future episodes.

    Removing the podcast (I believe) removes it from the stats section. So I have to keep old podcasts in my library or else mess up the stats. Or allow the stats to stay correct if a pocast is removed.

    Raise a little bit the lower group of playback buttons + episode title. On Android 9 with full gestures enabled the buttons remain too low on the screen and can be easily touched while making any Android gesture like going back to the desktop, for example

  17. 💜 the player, but really wish I could create multiple playlists that I could categorize

    We can create individual folders for podcasts, but I wish I could create categorized playlists of individual episodes (i.e. music, news, interviews, comedy).

    I would like to be able to sort my podcasts main pade by when I started subscribing to the podcast. I follow a lot of podcasts and have trouble remembering which ones I have just recently added to listen to.

  20. Support for speakers with LAN-Connection

    For a better and more stable connection I have connected some of my speakers with a LAN cable to my local network. Play-Fi seems to not find those speakers and only connects speakers with WiFI connection to the network. Since Apple has no problem finding and integrating speakers with a wired connection to the network, this should be possible. If play-Fi could integrate those speakers it would be the perfect product.
