Sort playlist by week published
Like the option to sort the playlist by short publication date, add the option to sort by week published so lower priority podcasts arent missed.

Better unread counter (new released episodes)
The unread counter should consider only the number of unread episodes released after the last read or already downloaded episode from that podcast.
The rationale is that those old episodes (older than the last read/downloaded one) actually don't mind so much because we already know about their existence and ignored them consciously (usually because we just don't consider them interesting enough and probably most of them won't ever be listened), so what we really mind is about the new released episodes. Voice notes
Sometimes when I hear something interesting in podcast I'm writing it down to check it later. It is not possible while running or other activities. You might add something like recorder enabled through headphones remote controll which will stop playing podcast and enable recording to leave short note. After that places where user left note might be also marked on podcast timeline.

Allow for subscribed podcasts to be grouped by networks
I am subscribed to over 75 podcasts and many of them fall under about 5 networks. I would often find it useful to be able to view my subscribed podcasts by network in the main podcasts menu or to at least have a category created for each network. Thanks!!

The idea is to be able to write a little summary of the podcast with a text editor feature, and why not linked to a search feature ! Useful for search for later listening.

Sort playlist by bitrate
Besides simply listening to the highest/lowest audio quality first, listening to high bitrate with "automatically delete read episodes" will clear up the most device storage space per second of listening.

Skip silence attack control
I like the option!.. but I also experience abit awkwardness with it the audio. It's sounds like the app allows no null sound..
I've would really like a option for control how much the app should attack the audio. So the app will allow 1s or 2s of null soundsThanks for a great app!!

Add some Car Mode automation
It would be nice to be able to tweak Podcast Addict behaviour while in Car Mode, for whose who don't/can't use Android Auto.
When the phone is in Car Mode, aka. when connected to a given Bluetooth device, Podcast Addict behaviour could be tweaked:
* Player is changed automatically to Car Mode
* Volume level could be set to a fixed value (85% for example) as one is likely to change the volume using the car audio
* Starting Podcast Addict would directly open the player screen, avoiding spurious manipulation from user while driving

Automatically or optionally resize podcast "thumbnails" to actual thumbnail sizes.
This is a rather insidious and invisible destroyer of phone storage. I realize you can't control podcast author's uploads, but is it possible to control the app's downloads?
I've lost well over 300MB of valuable SD storage for the display of an often mediocre visual branding. Many podcast thumbs are 3000x3000 pixels (NPR!) & I've seen one podcast with a 16535x16535 pixel show "thumb"! (The Big Broadcast) That's over 4 TIMES 4K TV resolution!

Move Podcast Custom Sort option from Display settings to Custom Setting
As of now, to enable custom sort ordering for a podcast, you need to follow a few steps:
1. "Main Menu">"Display settings">"Custom Sorting"
2. Go back to the individual podcast and set the Sort order.But now all podcasts follow their individual Sorting order.
In my experience, I mostly use 1 sorting type, but have a couple podcasts that follow a different order.
Additionally, I have found that the "Custom Sorting" toggle is only accessible from the "Display Setting" when in the main menu. I found this very confusing as a new user.
I propose that the "Custom Sort" option…

Mass Edit of Custom Settings
So users can, for example, edit the category of multiple podcasts at once.

Add Play/Pause and Sync to the App Icon Menu
I think in Android 7, apps can now have a pop up menu appear if you long press on the icon from the app drawer or if the app is on a screen.
Currently I see Search Engine, Radio Stations, Playlist, and Latest ep. as options.
Could Play/Pause and Sync be added as menu items on this user action? Would save some screen real estate space versus the play/pause widget and sync widget

Refresh content from RSS for an entire subscription not just an episode
In some subscriptions, the content for the episode is duplicated over many episodes. I noticed the 'refresh content from RSS' option in an actual episode and it updates the content accordingly. Would be great if this function (if it doesn't already exist) could be done on all episodes as a bulk for the entire subscription.

List the duration of the episodes currently listed in a podcast series
I'd like to know how much time I have left on a given podcast series. Some I keep up to date on and use the playlist, and some are not time sensitive, so I'm starting at the beginning and have many, many episodes to go. For me, I'll use it to know the total duration of the unread episodes for a given podcast series, but I guess you could just calculate it for what ever the current display setting is (hide/unhide read, etc.). Currently I have to clear the playlist, add a single podcast series's episodes, and use that functionality…

Filter subscribed/non-subscribed
In the 'Podcasts' page, it would be great to have a filter to show only podcasts I'm subscribed to, or only podcasts I'm not subscribed to but have downloaded episodes from.
