  1. maximum age setting for new episode badge counter

    Proposal: a global setting for the maximum amount of time to include unlistened episodes to the counted for badge display. This way you can have badges reporting, for example, number of unlistened episodes for a podcast within the last month.

    An override in the podcast custom setting would also be good, for adjusting some podcasts that publish very frequently, or infrequently.

    The unplayed counter badge is not really useful if you have a lot of podcasts subscribed and only listen to some occasionally. The problem is that you end up with a lot of unplayed podcasts from an increasingly distant…

  2. Revise Player view to work better in split screen

    Player view doesn't work well in split screen

    Could the resizing (in the car mode Player) be adapted to make the controls more accessible, even when resized for split screens.

    In landscape (split screen with phone in portrait - as it is in most car mounts), the album art is so large that the once-giant buttons are very difficult to see and access.

    In portrait (split screen with phone in landscape - which is much less common), the controls are much better, but the album art is tiny.

  3. add crossfade

    Some of my audiobooks are just a bunch of 3-minute mp3 files named in order. It'd be great to have a crossfade option to make this file-to-file transition seamless. Preferably an option to choose how much time to crossfade. Poweramp has this feature so I actually use that music player when listening to broken-up files but I don't like having to use my music player for word stuff (psychological cross-contamination).

    I also bought the podcast addict pro version so I hope you can add this feature in. Thanks!

  4. Give option to update episodes every 6 hours

    I listen to several news podcasts that update every hour and 4 new episodes a day would be just right for me. Plus based on my schedule for when I can listen 6 hour updates would be perfect. It's too bad we can't choose the update interval for what best fits our schedule.

  5. Be able to access the episode list from a new podcast without having to go back to "podcasts"

    If I play a recent podcast, then I want to listen to past eps, I can just get right to those episodes, I have to go back to "podcasts", find the one. Then go into it. Just have a quick link to back episodes from anywhere I may be.

  7. Allow speed controls to be always visible

    Please create a setting for users to always have the + and - speed controls on the screen. Having to open the speed control window is cumbersome, plus it blocks videos that I may be playing. I often like to adjust speed up and down while listening to a podcast. This helps me blow past topics that I don't t care about and slow down for subjects during a podcast that I want to pay more attention to. In other words, for me, I LOVE your plus and minus speed throttling buttons. I just want them to always visible next…

  8. Make a wish list of sorts

    I would love to have a list or something to that effect so I can add podcasts that I want to check out later. I see so many recommendations for podcasts that I wanna check out and it would be nice to have a list or bookmark or something to save them all in.

    I am a member of the Fatecrafter Studio Network and I was requesting for us to be added to the Podcast Network Section. Xavier suggested posting here to let people vote on it.

  11. Group podcasts by category

    I mainly use the grid layout for my podcasts and spontaneously decide what to listen to. I never use the dropdown menu because I lose the overview over all podcasts. But the grid layout becomes an unsorted mess when you have 20+ podcasts.

    It would be great if you could group the grid by categories.

    --History Podcast 2

    You get an overview over all podcasts but they are logically grouped which makes it easier to find the right one for your mood.

  12. Textual filter amongst our subscribed podcast (home view)

    In the view "Podcasts" implements a textual filter in order to get to the serached podcast. I have almost 100 subscribed podcast and it's a bit difficult to look for one juste by scrolling or sort by category. I'd like to sort it by a word in its title.

  13. Allow Podcast Addict to work with the Android car connectivity system, MirrorLink

    Podcast Addict is a great app on a mobile phone. It would be helpful to be able to commect to a car via MirrorLink to be able to listen to podcasts.

  14. Add download scheduler

    Hi
    I wrote to you some time ago about Scheduler but apparently it has slipped your eyes...
    I actually use a plan for my internet service that provides me with free data from 3am to 7am.
    I have to set my alarm to get up and start or pause the downloads. Honestly a big pain in the neck...

    Could you be kind enough to provide a start/pause scheduler for the download manager? Any day that I oversleep I actually lose quite a bit of my data which is quite expensive.

  16. TTS read podcast webpage when no mp3

    Some RSS links to html textual page not mp3 file. This means an article to read. Now I use "visit a webpage", then in browser I use share in order to run text-to-speech app in order to listen to an article.
    I would be great improvement if in case of rss with links to html pages, pressing Play button would start TTS player or let user to choose external app to service such link.

  17. Set time to skip to the next podcast

    I subscribed to numerous podcasts, some of them are short, some others are too long. it is impossible to listen to all off them in a day. Instead of listening to a few long podcasts, I want to listen to as many as possible of them. So, I want a feature to be able to set a time so that app would skip to next podcast automatically without waiting to finish whole podcast

    episode format rename when downloaded
    Instead of downloading the file and listing it by filename, can you download it and name the file with the episode title, or date/time, etc. Other podcast receivers do this.

    Next version will allow you to customize default file names using predefined patterns. A 1st beta will soon be availble. Make sure to join the Beta on the Play Store app page to test this and provide some feedback.

    This will of course apply to new downloaded episodes only.

    You will have to go to Settings/Download and press on 'Use Custom filenames' to change the default behavior

  19. Add an option for "Downloaded counter" like "Unplayed counter" in display settings

    I would like the option to see the podcasts that have downloaded episodes similar to seeing the "Unplayed counter" badge on the right of the podcast.

    some podcasts start VERY VERY LOUD.

    I d like to see a fade in volume feature.

    increase volume from 0 % to 80 % within 5 seconds after podcast starts.
