Make a kodi addon
I use kodi a lot. I notice that other then the apple iTunes podcast addon (which is rubbish) thier is no podcast addon available for it.
I believe podcast addict would be amazing to have.

Snippets of shows (like audable)
Hi.
I notice audible have a new feature which I have wanted in a podcast app for ages.Snippets. Sometimes I speak to my mates about things and I hear the answer to thier questions on my podcasts that I listen too on podcast addict.
It would be good of podcast addict had a snippet button which records for the duration of the bit you wish to send to someone else. Long press from start to finish after longpress ask to save audio clip so you can send it to my mates. (max 60 seconds). Maybe send via whatsapp, Facebook…

Make it export playlist
I would like to be able to export my playlist to a simple text file. Then I could reorder it quickly on a PC, then import it back in to the app. I currently have hundreds of different podcast episodes in my playlist, and manually mixing and ordering them is time-consuming.

Override priority for individual episodes
I sort playlist by priority, with hourly news updates at the top, less timely newsy stuff, etc. down to timeless TAL, hardcore history etc accumulating at the bottom. A few of the high priority podcasts are really a mix of time-pertinent and timeless. I would love if I could hear the topic, decide I want to listen to it but not now, and demote that episode to a lower priority while having future episodes continue to get the higher priority...

Force update podcasts (not download episodes) in 3G/4G
It is available to force download epsiode in 3G/4G without WiFi, but it works only if podcast was previously updated in WiFi and you see episode in list.
It will be very helpful, when pressing update button (on main screen or podcast screen), program will ask "no wifi available, force update over 3G/4G?"6 votes -
Particular option of number of episodes for Archive Mode
New, particular option of number of episodes for Archive Mode. This number will mean MINIMUM number of episodes for downloading. This will make availability to download more epsiodes manually (if need so) and they won't be deleted automatically (as it is happening now).

Should be able to perfom operations on all podcasts grouped under a category
Should also be able to group podcast's by category and perform operations on all podcasts in the category from the category directly e.g. reset podcast, update podcasts, download unread, etc.

Global variable speed option
I would absolutely love it if there was an option to have the variable speed currently set in the player have effect globally, rather than just on a per podcast basis. In this case, the current and subsequent episodes would all be played at whatever the current player speed setting was, ignoring whatever speed each podcast was last played at

39 votesFYI there’s a setting in Settings/Player called Playback “speed factor” which allows to select how much of the current playback speed is applied when you listen through a loud speaker. For example, I set this at 33%.
This means that the podcast set to 2.5x is played at 2.5x only when listening with a headset (wired or BT). Otherwise the app will play at 1.5×. Once you enable this, you won’t have to change the playback speed based on the environment. The app will do it for you -
display total time of all episodes of a podcast series
Id like to be able to calculate the total time of all the epidodes of a podcast series. Id like to know how much time ive spent on completing a series

Keep podcast episodes on 'Read' and 'Favorite' lists after podcast is deleted.
Deleting the podcast channel also removes read and favorited episodes from that podcast. It would be great if this wasn't so.

reformat the 'go back' capability
When in the screen that shows the picture of the podcast and the timeline, pressing the 'go back' function on my Samsung sends me out of the podcast altogether. It would be great if the 'go back' function always sent me back to the previous screen or view.

mark a episode as read if you start playing something els in the last five minutes of the podcast
Hi it would be good if an episode will be marked as read if you stop the episode within the last five minutes or start listening to something els. I don't care about something to removes outros because I don't want that. I want the app to understand that I am done with an episode if I start listening to something els or stooping the episode within the last five minutes. Long pressing to mark it as read doesn't solve this problem eather!

I have been using an old version of Podcast Addict and have found it very helpful as a diversion during my 3-hour/day commute.
I recently upgraded my phone and with it, downloaded the latest version of Podcast Addict. Wow! I found the app now has the ability to create virtual podcasts of existing sound files (my own recordings of lectures, music for rehearsing, etc.) and vary the speed without affecting pitch (just like the Audible player). These features alone have driven me to donate to the ad-free version.

Have an option to individualy configure the behavior of the bluetooth skip and rewind buttons
Currently, it appears that the is an option to have the Bluetooth buttons either act as FF/rewind, or next/previous. It would be nice to have the ability to set them individually so you could have FF/previous or skip/rewind. Beyondpod has had this ability for a while (but I have become disillusioned with that app), and is handy, as sometimes I want to skip the cast I am currently listening to, but still want to be able to rewind to hear stuff that I missed. I exclusively listen to podcasts in the car over Bluetooth or android auto, and the double-click…

add the option to always display the lock screen widget.
I recognize that Android controls the widget itself, so if it's impossible to suppress the buttons that would close the lock screen widget, perhaps PodcastAddict could just respawn itself whenever it's stopped when this option is enabled. The idea is that you should never have to unlock the screen just to start playing your currently queued podcast when this option is enabled. Thanks for considering this!
